Rough Country Skid Plate. Pretty decent for the price. A tad bit heavy and thick. Mounting to the front stamped brackets was a bit interesting. They dont sit in the correct angle, but once you tighten them, they bend a bit and confirm to the correct angle.

For an SR5, the wheel well liners are a No Go. Such a great idea, but pretty much none of the holes line up. Im kinda pissed, as they were expensive. Im gonna talk to RC tomorrow and see about returning them. Im guessing the TRD's have different mounting holes on the fenders.

Looks good. Where are you from? I just completed my RCI skid plate installation last week. Your forum handle had me concerned, I thought my account was compromised. I'm from Cold Lake, Alberta.

I purchased the aluminum powdered coated product to keep the weight down as much as possible. My gas mileage right now is between 12-16 litres per 100 km which is not great. I am trying source a powdered coated black front bumper with a small bull ring to keep the weight down again. The shipping and US exchange is brutal right now, so I am waiting to see what products become available in Canada to keep the price down. I would recommend checking out Ok Expedition out of Kelowna for a skid plate solution.

Thanks, Im in Alaska, so it can be a bit complicated buying from Canada sometimes, not always.
The name sharing is pretty funny. We Alaskans do share alot of commonalities with You Canadian folks, except we get to have alot more cooler guns and suppressors 😂

I know! Theyre such a great idea. It does look like they fit the models with the fender flares. RC is going to let me return them.

I want those wheel well liners on my TRD Off Road. I can’t believe how muddy it is under my truck. I’m in BC based on the coast.

What kind of mud flaps you got? In combination with the factory TRD running boards...are you getting decent paint protection on gravel roads? I farm in Sask...drive a lot of gravel. Been researching what options are out there so I can install them when it's new (truck doesn't arrive until feb 2025). Also sucks to hear your fuel mileage is ranging from 12-16 liters! Maybe I best go with another half ton! Was hoping the Tacoma would be easier on fuel to run around in, and not drive the diesel in winter lol

I’m getting about 12.8 L per 100km consistent in city driving mostly. 85/15 is the city to hwy driving I’d say. A new V8 GMC 1500 would be about 16-17 in this driving. I’m probably saving about 4-5 litres per 100km I’d say.

Kind of a bummer that you cannot run OEM flares with those fender liners..

Appears you can
I was going off the instructions where they state to take them off and then the final image shows them not back on so I made that assumption. Maybe I’ll order them and try it.
