2024 Tacoma Off-Road Package

If I am trying to get the 2024 tacoma off-road is it necessary to add the off-road package? why would someone add the optional off-road package when you're already buying the tacoma off-road?

Its not required but as with all Toyotas, you don't really get a say... The dealerships get what they get so you will just have to find one without the package, but the off-road premium package gets you the following...

More features? Not sure how this is a question. Like any vehicle there are options inside of a trim level.

The TRD Off-Road is not a package it is a trim/grade as Toyota. Once you choose the grade, you can add packages to it like the Upgrade or premium package which just add additional features.

It’s amazing how many people are not aware of this. And that includes many of the Youtubers making videos. They all act like you can sit at your computer and build a truck. You absolutely cannot.

I must have a dealer with a lot of pull. We ordered a fully loaded Rav4 hybrid for my wife in May of '22, told them what options we wanted and what color, then it showed up at the end of July. I'm on the Tacoma wait list for a TRD off road hybrid, they called me yesterday asking what color and option packages I wanted so they could get it on their next allocation. I was kind of confused/excited because I was waiting on the hybrid and they just had me down on the wrong list apparently.

You can absolutely wait for your build if your would like. Lots of the first allocations have a lot of options on them. But I bet in a few months you will be about to get something very close to what you would like.
