Yea it seems no one knows yet all the wiring is missing.

I had to run all the wires myself and pay for wiring diagram. I still need to wire a diode as the truck doesn’t like power being applied to brake light circuit without brakes being applied.

Did you have to run wires all the way back to the 7 pin connector ? or did you go to the connection under the back seat ? I have a redarc from my last Tacoma with the same knob . seems like the only viable option for an aftermarket install on a 2024 . . everywhere else at the front is an airbag , or would be blocking the hood release . Nice instalation . Is the controller on the side of the seat ?

All the wires have to be ran. I was able to tap into brake light wire and power source for non existent tire inflator.
The controller is on the driver side rear seat.

My dealership offered to foot the bill to have Action Car and truck accessories instal a Curt controller in my truck . The rep from Action assured me that it wouldn't be a problem . --So I booked an apointment , took the morning off work and drove 35 minutes for the instal . After waiting around for an hour they told me that there was no port and they couldn't do it . ---So don't waste your time with Action .
the last time i was inside of action car and truck to buy accessories for my truck they had no power because one of their "techs" drove thru the electrical room in a brand new truck😅

The thing that I don't like about the Bluetooth option is that Bluetooth on your phone can only handle one thing . So if you're using the brake app then no Bluetooth connection to the truck and no Android auto. No hands free phone
Can you plug in to usb for AA/CP?

Also pulling open an ap during an emergency sway situation would be difficult. I did almost go that rout tho

The USB ( usbc -c )on the 2024 says for charging only . No data connectivity
Watched a video, he said the usb-c on the side of the screen gives direct connection to CarPlay/AA. Stupid place but at least it’s available. Could probably do a swap with 1 of the others?

Update: after hours of looking at wiring diagrams and pulling panels off to see what my truck doesn’t have. Finally found that this pin is completely missing from my truck

I had an interesting discovery just a few minutes ago on my TRD OR. Your post prompted me to go check mine. I sure enough have a pin in that empty location and a nice larger gauge wire that goes back into the wiring harness. Hoping to find where it goes today. Fingers crossed.

That is very interesting indeed!!
Maybe Toyota is gonna make life easier on us TRD OR owners in more recent vehicles off the assembly line

I'm still hearing mid June arrival so I'll be sure to check for said larger gauge wire upon delivery.

I’m assuming you have a or without upgrade package? I wonder if you have some type of connector under the dash too.

Here's the pics, I forgot I was waiting for them to sync to the computer and forgot. This is a base level TRD Off Road (no factory brake controller, cloth seats, etc.). However it does have the 14" screen and heated seat upgrade. I wonder if those might have something to do with it.

I did track these wires also to that crazy junction box under the passenger side rear seat...but I'm not 100% certain the trailer brake wire that I have goes there. There are some wires that split off under the bed and go to the driver side. I'm going to look around under the driver side dash today and see what I can find.

What wire did you tap into to get the brake light control input?

I’m pondering taking a gooseneck harness adapter to split apart to create a custom harness. Plug it in between the vehicle 7 pin and bumper plug. This will give me pins I can modify to collect left/right turn and the trailer brake wire.

Then use one of the third brake light modules that cancel out the turn signals and are used for toppers. Then run the output from this and a larger gauge wire for the trailer brakes up into the cab under the back driver seat as you have done. I’m also going to order the diode as well.

Any thoughts?
