The only mod I did was deciding to get the SR5 instead of the SR, and that was suggested by my wife after a test drive. 😁
I've added a few inexpensive things from Amazon: mudflaps, a magsafe wireless charger, a bed extender for my kayak, and a cheap tonneau, but nothing was actually modified.
I'm kind of surprised that the mileage is good. It has 4WD and weighs 1000 lbs more than my '12 Access Cab 4-cyl AT 2WD. It does have an 8 speed versus a 4 speed transmission, and I never feel it hunting for gears, so it must be pretty well programmed.
Gave the '12 to my son last week...

Picked up a new 2025 Underground SR5 4WD 4-door on 4/9.
So far I've:
1. Upgraded volume knob on my 8" screen to the RAV4 knob
2. Installed Zekzepp mudflaps
3. Installed Magsafe wireless iPhone charger
4. Installed Autosaver88 soft trifold tonneau cover today
5. Added 4-pack of headrest...

Just bought a 2025 SR5 4WD last week, gave my 2012 SR5 2WD to my son. I collect Matchbox and Hot Wheels Toyota trucks, especially the Tacoma variants and the Toyota Off-Road Truck.
I haven't seen the 2024 in stores yet. I've seen pics of 3 variants; a regular blister card, a short blister...
