Are you only going off of the trucks computer? My first fill up, the truck showed like 19 and the hand calculated mileage was actually 22.7. It hasn’t been close, so I don’t even look at that anymore.
No complaints here. I test drove a Sport and Off Road the same day, same route, and the Sport was noticeably smoother to me. Can’t comment on the SR5 or Limited, but I love the way the Sport rides and drives.
CarPlay has been fantastic in mine. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and the truck has JBL audio. No disconnections or anything and everything has worked as expected. Better, actually. It’s been a significant improvement over my 3rd gen.
My TRD Sport Hybrid has been showing about 330-340 for the range. I've been using the Trip meter and I've been getting right around 330 per tank with about 20-25 miles still showing on the range. Usually takes about 15 gallons, give or take, to fill it up.
I was concerned about the range on...
I have a TRD Sport Hybrid and my range has been showing 330-340. I've been filling up around the 330 mark, but it usually still shows 20-25 miles to empty on my range. My last tank was 346 miles and it took 15.36 gallons to fill it up with 21 miles left on the range.
I did the same with my...
Looks good! I'm thinking about getting this tonneau for my Sport. I had the retractable cover from Rough Country on my 2020 and it was nice and I've heard good things about the hard tri-fold.
Did you have to do any drilling for the drain tubes?
My 2024 Sport has a wider turning radius than my 2020. I’m still getting used to that. Not sure if the Pro and TH are worse, but the new ones don’t seem to turn as sharp across the board.
I just did my third fill-up with my Sport Hybrid 4x4. Hand calculated the mileage using the trip meter and gallons at the pump. So far it’s been 22.7, 20.7, and 22.0 mpgs.
No drilling. There were three screws to remove on each side in the front and those were used to install the front mudguards. The kit came with 4 screws for each side in the rear. There are already pre-drilled locations for the install, so it's literally just lining it up and putting the screws...
Just installed these on mine. Should help a bit with stuff flying up off the tires. I’ve got some running boards on the way that’ll provide some extra protection as well. I liked the look of these mudguards better than the aftermarket options.
Reposting the part number in case someone missed...
I thought I was weird for liking the 3rd gen seating position. lol
Took it on a 5,000 mile road trip and was never uncomfortable. Honestly, I'm just comfortable behind the wheel of a Tacoma. 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, 4th gen, I've liked them all.
Manuals are so much fun! I have a bad left ankle that keeps me away from them as a daily driver these days though. I'd love to find a good used 1st gen manual to mod and use as a weekend fun vehicle though.
