I have not seen any articles stating what alloy the exterior panels on the 4th Gen Tacoma are manufactured from. I did my own magnet test from front to back and found the following:
Hood: Aluminum
Fenders: Steel
Door skins: Steel
Roof: Steel
Bed sides: Aluminum
Tailgate: Aluminum
