Before I took delivery I went over the truck also checking the oil. Mine was in between max and low and made them top it off. Even in my 2023 Corolla Cross the oil was about a half quart below max. I was told they all come in that way.
What additives? Toyota oil is made by Exxon/Mobil. So Toyota oil is Mobil One. Do to a dealer and ask what oil they put in. Took the wife Corolla Cross in for 5K service and had the oil changed. The bill said Pennzoil. I guess they didn't get the memo
They will only change the oil under this plan at 10,000 and 20,000 miles. Took the wife's Corolla Cross in for a 5K service and paid for an oil change. The service advisor said it didn't need to be done until 10K. I told him oi; cheap engines are expense.
Per the local fire company Facebook page the accident was on this was on PA 61 just north of I-78. So damn he was almost there. Their web site show an Ice white TRD sport coming in
as a former CDL driver for 32yrs I will agree with you. The problem with this pic. is that this is what they call a Hotshot. More like a guy with a pickup and a trailer. Some of use had ours come in on a real truck.
What sub model do you have SR, SR5, Sport, or OR. Also if equipped what drive mode were you in? ie: ECO, Normal, or Sport.
Also not all active code put the CEL on. Some will be pending and if it goes inactive no CELwill come on. Yet it will be in the ECU and the service can see all codes active...
Thinking of getting the Rough Country Power running boards. Just like the clean look of not having step sticking out. Does anyone have these on there Taco or know someone that does
It all depends on how you drive and where you drive, country road or interstates. Most ads push up to a 12% increase in MPG. The fuel savings are over the long term. Even if it just saves 1/2 mile per gallon over time it adds up. I plan on getting one for my Taco not just for the MPG but looks...
Do oil testing. I know Amsoil has kits you can buy and will show result over time. As a diesel Tech we do oil testing on everything including power steering, trans, and coolant. You need a base line then you can see from there
What every manufacturer recommends, cut that number in half. Fluids are cheap, engines, trans, transfer case and diff are expense. I been using Amsoil for years and plan on using it on my new Taco.
Ever since I was 16 I have been a loyal GM owner, 3 cars and 4 trucks. My last truck was a 2012 GMC Sierra, pictured in the background. A few months earlier my wife and I bought our first Toyota, a Corolla Cross XSE Hybird and we love it. So when I was looking to down size from a full size...
Now step back from the screen and turn off Youtube. Here one thing to keep in mind these review/opinions are like azzholes, everyone has one even on here.
I will always remember this quote from the "Car Care Nut" Channel on YouTube. He said these are imperfect vehicles built by imperfect humans...
