Haha, yeah as far as I can tell mine is about 50,000 trucks AFTER the acknowledged an issue. Also, the issue is not with the design or engineering of the transmission, just a production process flaw. So I decided to move forward.
Also, thank you for confirming, that's exactly what happens...a...
I finally struck a deal and pulled the trigger on a 2024 OR Premium with Soft Tonneau and Bed Scene Lighting (loving that so far). Outside of puckering up every time the thing shifts even remotely rough, I'm loving the thing.
I'm just wondering..I used Carista to get rid of the seatbelt...
Thank you for the input. That last panel being fixed would definitely be an issue for me, but are you saying you have to remove the bed rails for the hard cover? I like that less. I think this just tells me I shouldn't buy the hard cover until I see both. Thanks again.
I know it doesnt directly answer your question, but I almost ordered these. I didnt end up getting the Silver Tacoma I thought I was going to get, so I never did order. This was a week ago, the parts guy said they are filling orders, but Toyota just sends them as they get them, no rhyme or...
My truck should be here in the next couple days, it's coming with the soft tonneau cover. I'm happy with the deal and would rather have it than the spray on bed liner or many of the other PIOS. Anyway, I tried to get the dealer to let me give them some extra money, remove the cover, and let me...
My favorite is the $70 phone cables...those would cost $10 on Amazon, and they're unnecessary in a truck with wireless Android Auto and a wireless charger. I also personally think the $575 spray in bedliner is not only pointless, but ruins the composite bed. Buy a $20 cargo net if you're...
I appreciate you saying that/trying to talk me off the ledge, it would be easy for you to just say "screw Toyota, don't buy it" right now.
My VIN# is 3TMLB5JN2RM058524 so I'm about 47,000 trucks past the "3TMLB5JN#RM011196" part of the TSB, if I'm interpreting things correctly. I guess I...
Does anyone know what the "TMMBC" indicates in the "plant" column as opposed to "TMMGT"? Is there more than one plant in Mexico?
Also, mine would fall under the " 3TMLB5JN...category instead of the 3TMLB5FN, just curious if anyone has Toyota VIN decoding skills and might know what the...
What are you thinking? Are you going to stick with it? Or drop it and give them some time to sort it out? I'm leaning towards dropping it, but seeing if they offer another $1,000 off on the way out the door 🙂
I have a Tacoma ordered/reserved that has been sitting in New Jersey for 3 weeks now. I've been getting cold feet, this post may have pushed me to that point. Would it be an overreaction to cancel at this point and wait for the 2025s? The VIN isn't within the TSB range, but it sure does seem...
I would say you've given it a good shot for 2,000 miles. If it hasn't grown on you, take advantage of year end deals to lighten the blow, but move on. I understand some of the things you're saying, but some issues sounds like a higher trim might have served you better. Check out a GMC Canyon...
I created this account in 2023, before these were even released and disappointed everyone. I did my own research by actually test driving the vehicles and speaking to Toyota representative about potential changes/fixes/ updates. I'm hopeful some of these things are addressed in 2025, so I try...
I test drove 3 of those things; I don't mind it being a 4cylinder, it's just that powertrain that I mind. Even the hybrid doesn't seem right; very unrefined, uneven, inconsistent. The whole truck feels cheap.
I'm getting a little tired of hearing how great the mid-sized truck market is right now. If you want a truck that has updated technology and is reliable (certainly not unreasonable goals) what are you supposed to buy?
I test drove a Sport, the hood shaking and flexing just driving down the road was very disappointing. I think he was being kind blaming it on a gasket; it's too thin, period.
I agree with him, too many gimmicks, not enough of what I would actually want.
I'm waiting for my 2024 Sport Premium as I continue to drive my 2022 RAV4 Prime premium. Same system, same dash, etc. It came with a year of "connected services" trial where I could use their Navigation, Sirius radio, and still have the phone setup bluetooth for phone calls. I loved it, I...
The first 4th gen I saw was an OR in Underground. I changed my preference quickly, I really did NOT like it in person. Bronze Oxide was the opposite; I thought it was just another tan, it's actually pretty nice.
