2024 Tacoma Hold Status -- anyone's release yet?

Mine was released yesterday and will be delivered this week. Pretty sure this means that it was held at the local depot as the dealership is arranging final mile delivery. I think my build date was 2/17 but I can't confirm.

Tacoma VIN Allocation Tracking / Delivery Timeline / Quality Inspection (QC) Hold Status

Hey Steve, more of a curiosity question. Just got a call that my truck is sitting in Jessup awaiting a local carrier. Would that imply that it was there on hold? In any event, my ass should be in that seat this week!

TFL's 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4's 4WD Broke Down Deep in the Mountains

Hammering it? That was not a "send it" moment. I chuckle at the opinions of what happened. I've broken and replaced many an axel shaft (and other parts) on the trail. Most of these had been from binding and there was no binding in this event. I've wheeled my wife's Outback harder than what...

Ceramic coat on my 2024 Tacoma (+ other detailing)

A couple of easy to use products that are highly regarded are Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer and Turtlewax's Hybrid Solutions Spray Coating. Spray on, wipe off. Reapply annually. $20. Like the OP, my taco will get treated to a proper wash, decon, correction, and Gyeon MoHS. I've...

    Pricing complaints

I'm a bit of an outlier as I am buying a Limited. MSRP is about the same as a Canyon Denali. While the Canyon offers more hp/torque, the Limited offers more features. Quality and resale are additional bonuses.

Window tint (ceramic) before & after: 15% front windows, 40% back & rear windows, 15% moonroof

In MD, tint is a primary offense meaning it can be the sole reason for a stop. I know plenty of LEOs who might use tint if they are suspicious about something else and need probable cause. Otherwise, they don't bother. I've been running tint for decades without issue. YMMV.

Good new technical / specs info from a Toyota dealer GM presentation

On the ceramic coating, you are much better off finding a reputable detailer. To be done correctly, the truck must be properly washed, decontaminated, and polished at a minimum (more than likely a minor paint correction.) All that before any coating is applied.
