  1. SOLAR OCTANE 2024 Tacoma Thread (4th Gen)

In person, I'd say it's an orange with red tones. It can really depend on lighting as to how much of the red tone you see, but it generally looks more orange than red.
  2. TRD LB (Long Bed) and SB (Short Bed) on 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

Yeah, it really looks like y'all are getting roped into pretty limited options setups. I hope they expand that for you later.
  3. TRD LB (Long Bed) and SB (Short Bed) on 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

It appears the TRD OR is going to come with both 5' and 6' variants. The MT only gets the short bed, though. https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/2024-tacoma-pricing-per-trim-comparison-list.1667/ The price list includes SB/LB designations.
  4. Mpg and air dam

Chances are, the listed mpg is with the air dam, since it is standard equipment. That said, if the removal actually drops the mpg to 19-20 highway, that's awful. I'm guessing the effect is somewhat overstated. Probably a couple mpg.
  5. 2024 Tacoma Feedback & Comments: Will Tacomas still dominate and are you still buying one?

As someone looking at the Limited and Sport Premium, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. I was hoping for class-leading efficiency and a bit lower price for the options I want. I'm still waiting to see the hybrid numbers, but the Land Cruiser and the Crown Signia are both looking more...
  6. SOP (Production) Dates & Options/Packages/Pricing List for all 2024 Tacoma trims

Wow. I hadn't expected the Premium to command such a...premium over the normal TRD Sport. I guess that explains some of why the Limited can cost so much more. Ouch.
  7. 2024 Tacoma MPG Fuel Economy Per Trim (2.4L iForce Engine)

It is power-focused, not efficiency, so it'll have less of a gain than the RAV, most likely. I'm with you on being disappointed by these numbers.
  8. 2024 Tacoma MPG Fuel Economy Per Trim (2.4L iForce Engine)

Yeah, if they do the same thing as they did on the Tundra, this won't be much improvement in efficiency. But they could do things differently for the Tacoma. Don't hold your breath, of course. The fact that they're calling it the MAX and the promised power suggest it will be...
  9. Official: 2024 Tacoma Pricing and MPG Revealed!

I think a some of it really depends on what you're looking at. Limited is about an $8k increase ($10k if you didn't care about 4WD). You're getting a lot more, sure, but it's a pretty big jump, and certain to be even more to get the hybrid. I also think some of it has to do with the efficiency...
  10. Official: 2024 Tacoma Pricing and MPG Revealed!

According to the Autopian, there are 17 frame variants, 1 of which is specifically designed for the manual, so I think it's safe to say that they aren't going to surprise us with the long bed or the short cab. Apparently, they can't just drop the manual into the same frame as the auto.
  11. Official: 2024 Tacoma Pricing and MPG Revealed!

I suspect all of the XtraCab options are somewhat more expensive than some would hope because they plan on making so many more Double Cabs. I definitely get why you'd decide to bump up--the utility of the storage area is somewhat diminished by the lack of door, the additional options on higher...
  12. Official: 2024 Tacoma Pricing and MPG Revealed!

Right, I think what they're saying is that you should expect a hefty price increase, since these prices are for non-hybrid models and the Pro and TH will most likely be even more expensive than the hybrid Limited, which will be more expensive than the Limited listed here. So they'll start at...
  13. 2024 Tacoma MPG Fuel Economy Per Trim (2.4L iForce Engine)

The 4x2 TRD Sport gets the same fuel economy as the 4x4 Ranger. That's...not great. I was hoping they'd shoot for best-in-class fuel economy, not just catch up to the Colorado/Canyon.

  15. Genuine Parts Site Shows 24 Models. No parts yet

I think you can read crew max as double cab. They'll likely correct the terminology, but the trim levels are right and the cab length availability seems to be, even if they chose the terminology associated with the Tundra.
  16. Genuine Parts Site Shows 24 Models. No parts yet

No they aren't. Tundra has no Prerunner or TRD Sport or Off-Road Premium. They are Tacoma trim levels.
  17. Seventeen (17) 2024 Tacomas in Dealer Allocations (according to source)

There's a lot to be said for starting with the OR and building it out the way you want. To me, the TH and the Pro are both set up with equipment I wouldn't want (the isodynamic seats and the sport bar spring to mind), and it would likely be more economical to start with something a little more...
  18. 2024 Tacoma Post-Production Options (PPO) Guide - OEM / TRD Accessories Parts + Pricing! [UPDATED 5-7-24]

I'd say there's a good chance. It's not that uncommon for a configurator to be up and running on a website with no links and a different URL than expected before they go live, though, so it seems they're being very careful, since no one has managed to track that down yet. Of course, the Hawaii...
  19. Seventeen (17) 2024 Tacomas in Dealer Allocations (according to source)

Even if the 2024 MY rollout isn't as high volume as hoped (and with the hybrids dropping a few months into it, they are constrained by time, at a minimum), "not getting one at all" seems hyperbolic, not just because people will drop off the lists, but also because MY2025 should also be an...
  20. Forecasting Re-sale Value of the 24 MT Tacos?

The thing to remember is that fewer initial buyers also limits the number of MT examples. No certainty, but I might expect a MT to hold value better, but take longer to sell. Picking AT for resale value might be kind of like the people who buy black, white, and gray for resale purposes. They...
