The trd center pipe is different. It’s b
the filter is circular and is washable. Hope it shows up! The components go together like the standard one, it just looks and performs better.
Dang! That’s pricy! Another dealer nearby had theirs discounted so total parts before tax was $563.
I have noticed it gets up to speed a lot smoother and I have seen about a +2 or 3 mpg improvement. It’s a lot pricier than the k&n air intake but I’m a sucker for OEM and filter on this one is...
Another update. Added the trd air intake and center pipe.
Not sold as a kit but if you search the part number ptr03-35241 on the Toyota genuine parts site you’ll get 5 parts ending in AA-AE which makes up the kit. No install instructions but Toyota said it was fairly straightforward for them.
Swapped OEM roof rack for the prinsu pro. Installed the trail hunter grille with an 18” light bar, and 43” light bar for the roof rack. Light bars are from Diode dynamics.
Unfortunately I do not as the level and wheels were done after. These wheels are at a 0 offset and I think the stock wheels are 35mm? So I’d plan on these fender flares poking out about 1 inch over stock.
I might be going crazy but this weekend I took off the screws to one side of the wind deflector to see what I’d have to work with. When putting it back together I decided to check the other side for tightness and realized they were loose (never touched that side). Once I got everything tight I...
The added poke really makes it stand out! I did not like the ones with the bolts on the side either. Just not my style. Maybe on a ford or out look good. I really like the gloss black on these. Really stands out
I couldn’t get 285/70 17s to fit without the need to trim. So I went narrower. I might revisit when I need a new set.
Next is a tire rack for the bed so I can fit two full tires back there. Just waiting on some options to present themselves.
wheels are 17x8.5 0 offset
Tires are 275/70 r17
its has the RC 1.5” leveling kit.
Yeah I wanted to show the comparison of the stock fenders with the RC ones.
they poke out about an inch wider. Also based on design you will have to remove the mud flaps.i have a 0 offset wheel and these cover the wheel poke almost perfectly!
flat black is the default color but gloss was +$50. There are also body color options but those are pricy.
I read somewhere that the instructions were hard and took people longer than usual so since I was at the dealer I just paid for the install. It was about 1.5 hours of labor so not terrible.
Having other mods done to my taco and asked the service advisor to have the chirping looked at. He said 4th gen’s don’t have a manual clutch. So this is a normal sound when running the a/c.
Similar to the sound you would hear when the auto parking brake engages or disengages.
Looks greet! I’m working on switching from the OEM rack to the Prinsu pro cause the oem rack vibrates really bad at 70mph. How’s the driving with your rack?
