Ark splash guards ASAP.. Then good running boards or rock sliders. Skip the Redi Lift get the Wescott/Peak Suspension or buy once cry once and get an adjustable set of shocks?
Have 2024 OR hybrid. Most important to me was to put Ark slash guards on. Rock chips right away from stock mud flaps. Easy install with tires on. Got full size for rock and muck splashing. Leaves more room for bigger tires. Came with 18” rims.

...I like the look of the truck without them, they are kind of a must have here in the Pacific Northwest.
After some research I ended up going with ARK Splash Guards 2024+ Toyota Tacoma TriXpoly Mudflaps
What I Liked:
- The slightly extended design of the full mudflaps should provide extra...
Agree . I have seen recent Pro’s arrive at dealers and the photos show the small mud flaps. Trying to decide if I should go ARK, RokBloc or ? I want black and as little vendor badging as possible.
I agree - they look good and cover a lot more or the tire than the OEM ones, even though that is not saying a lot. lol I am also considering ARK mudflaps if they become available soon.
Here are the ARK “micro flares”. @Dr.Tron is spot on the mud flaps are large and offer good protection. The micro flares look cool, but offer little protection. On my way to have PPF installed I got a rock chip on the drivers side rear quarter panel.
Jason from ARK is awesome! I’ve been working with him on fitment for the Trailhunter.
The mounting holes for the current set of mud flaps they sell on their site do not all align with the Trailhunter/Pro. It is close, but not perfect.
Here are the mockups ARK sent on my Trailhunter.
...I'm going to lose a lot of points in a car show. However, I'd rather have a shit DIY PPF job than a sandblasted truck.
I got the mud flaps from ARK. Other people said that worked. Not much improvement IMO. Not sure if it's a tire issue throwing rocks, or just a shit design with shit paint...
While I like the tire width coverage of the Arks, they look a little long for me. I reached out and connected with Jason at Ark and he sounds open to developing a shorter version of the full mud flaps that would split the difference between the full flaps and the micros. Thinking about 4" drop...
Good comparison pictures. The OEM flaps looks like Toyota went to the parts bin and grabbed some made for a Prus - total fail.
I am getting those or maybe Rally Armor ones soon. They have to be a big help for the rock chip problem.
Now y'all have done it, I went with the ARK mudflaps. I've attached pictures with the skinny stock flaps below the ARK flaps, and a side profile to show how much they stick out past the tires. Fingers crossed this helps.
