Have been extremely disappointed with mileage Ive been getting. Less than 1500 miles driven so far, but getting 13.5-16 mpg on highway Normal to ECO mode. No excessive speed, not heavy on the throttle. Have changed rims/ tires to Method 703 with Falken AT4W 285/70/r17 and have changed Rock Rails...
Started the build on my TH with Method 703 Bronze wheels and Falken AT4W tires (285/70/r17). Next took off OEM Rock Rails (no step and not as protective as I wanted) and put on CBI Overland bolt on Rock sliders (powder coat/ DOM/ double cab 5’/ kickouts). Had Asheville Vehicle Outfitters install...
while driving home through mountains from NC to TN encounter winter mix of weather. Ground temp 36 and mix of rain/ sleet/ snow. Had. Warning come up that front radar sensor covered and PDA disabled. When stope for gas, slushy mix was on the Sensor shield. Brushed it off and problem solved...
I was worried about dust getting in to canopy ( will be using AluCab Contour Canopy). Then I noticed the huge gap between tailgate and back of bed. Especially in corners. Anyone else noticed this? Problems once get canopy on? Any corrections?
Totally pristine Rock Rails from my Trailhunter. Has been off road yet (485 miles, still breaking in). They are coming off to put CBI sliders on for more of a step for my wife.. Still bolted on but coming off this weekend or sooner if need be.. the pair is included and all mounting hardware.
Parting with the cool ARB Sport rack to make room for AluCab Canopy. Pristine condition. Will be removing this weekend (or sooner if someone wants it right away. Just picked up TH from dealer last weekend. Knoxville area.
Just got my TH this weekend.. Less than 350 miles driven (picked up at dealer with 28 miles). One thing I notice is a high pitched noise starting at under 20mph (coming down in speed, coasting) with or without braking. Noise goes away immediately when apply gas. RPMs are 0 when hear the noise...
Down sides or upsides to powering/charging back to batteries in Trailer from vehicle via Anderson plug on TH since it is hybrid? I have asked some of the trailer manufacturers and they dont know.. Maybe an ask of Toyota when I go to Overland Expo East in a couple of weeks.
