Nope, a feature like that they would have bragged about at reveal. This appears to be a lower spec of the TRD OR trim (manual cloth seats, no moonroof, no sliding rear window, manual HVAC).
Photos are trash quality, but if you look close on the HVAC controls you can see the double stacked heated/ ventilated seat symbols for driver and passenger. Cross reference the 2024 Tacoma press release photos too. From what I gather there are three HVAC options:
1. Manual HVAC, no heated or...
If I can't spec DRL Signature LED headlights and ventilated seats on TRD OR I will not consider. Black instead of color matched door handles and hopefully those are optional wheels. Yuck to both of those attributes.
It was more observances for my use case and needs/preferences than issues. I came to the conclusion that there is a reason they are priced starting $5-6K below their CUV counterparts. It was clear on fit and finished and quality of materials on first impression. Powertrain was good, 2.0T AWD...
I’d honestly highly consider such product. I was interested in Maverick, ordered, but ended up not accepting at delivery after test drive for numerous reasons. Personally, for my preferred aesthetics, the RAM product more aligns with what I would seek shopping in that segment.
I’m most interested in TRD OR trim.
Hopefully the dual zone climate and ventilated seats, as well as the Signature DRL LED headlights, will be an available option on the TRD OR.
Distracted due to limited time with the Chief Engineer and wanting to get as much overall content as possible. It’s been 20 years since a meaningful update to Tacoma. Almost every video I watched the creator seemed rushed due to time constraints. It really was technically only a “first look”...
The Underground color behaves exactly like the Cavalry Blue on my 2019. Kind of muted and dull in the shade, but in direct sunlight the color really transforms similarly.
I’m not one for gray colors, but this is a color I would own due to the way it reacts in direct sunlight.
If I didn’t need...
Same here. I’d be most interested in a highly optioned TRD OR. Hopefully Toyota allows the custumer to option dual climate w/ ventilated seats and of course heated seats and steering wheel. HUD would be a bonus feature for me in TRD OR as far as creature comforts. I am also wondering if the...
If I was much older and/or single, I’d be all over this configuration. Looks really good. Neat how they brought back the XtraCab. Reminds me of the ones from mid-late 80’s. Well done.
Definitely has quite a few character body lines. Mostly as expected given what we’ve seen to date. Don’t have longer to wait to see some of the rest of the lineup.
I’d be nervous regarding price if I were a prospective buyer. However, comes equipped from factory, therefore, parts are included under factory warranty is a plus. Maybe this trim level will cool the prices of the TRD Pro and even TRD OR/ Sport trim levels.
