The price certainly doesn't help the Tacoma. While I had been interested in the Trailhunter, I ended up going with a 2023 Colorado ZR2 Desert Boss. Fully loaded and after TTL and warranties, it was $75k. And that was the highest I was willing to pay for a midsize... That Trailhunter is gonna...
I had actually ordered a 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Desert Boss back in January of 2023. After waiting 8 months and then running into the UAW strike, I told the dealership I was going to have to start looking elsewhere and I started looking at the Trailhunter. Loved the look of it and Toyota has...
Yeah, I get that I'd be saving $8k (that's the markup at my dealer if you have a down payment AND a deposit) but it's not just the money. I can't really afford to take time off of work at the drop of a hat, even just a day or two and even if it's not at the drop of a hat, and I would have to...
Yeah, there'll probably be a lot of dealers losing a lot of sales. Since it's starting to look like the Trailhunter is gonna come in at close to $60k, my dealer will end up making me walk away from it and find something else. They do an $8k - $10k markup (and yes, I know there are dealers who...
Jesus... If they're right on the estimate, and it seems reasonable, I'd be looking at $65k after the dealership markup - and that would be before tax, title, license... or any of the accessories I had been looking at. All told, I'm guessing I'd be looking at damned near $80k for the Trailhunter...
Yeah, that's a big part of the reason why I'm willing to walk away from this. I really like the way that truck looks but spending an extra $8,000.. not okay in my book
All I know is that everything I had read so far had led me to believe that I was looking at about $50,000 msrp. Which would have ended up with the truck costing me about $65,000 after dealership mark up and everything else. But looking at that list and seeing that the trim just below the trail...
Yeah, I'm starting to have a feeling that the TH is gonna be out of my price range if I go with all the accessories I'm looking at. If we're thinking that it'll be the upper 50's, add the dealer markup, tax, title, license, destination, and about $8,000 in accessories, and I'll be looking at...
And if the TH starts at 60k+, I'll likely be looking elsewhere. I'd be looking at an $8k markup from the dealership I'm working with (yes, I know... I know...), so I'd be looking at almost $70k before I even added on accessories. Shame, if that ends up being the case, because I love everything...
Right. And I realize that there are people looking at the trims they have released pricing for, but it's the TRD Pro and the TH that probably have the most interest - so for them not to release prices for those yet? Yeah, stringing us along.
I think he's just talking about the fact that they've released the pricing for everything BUT the TRD Pro and Trailhunter. At least, that's my take on it. That's where my frustration is at, as well.
I don't see the price for the Trailhunter on there, either. I'm guessing that the Trailhunter is gonna come in at about $55k, since it's just above the Limited which is listed at $52k. I also just noticed that the Tacoma is still listed on Toyota.com under the "Upcoming Vehicles" section. I...
I realize that's saying it's for the TRD, but I can't imagine that most of those wouldn't be interchangeable. I AM a little disappointed that the full bed rack is still listed as "TBD", as that's one of the very few things I was looking at. Still, I guess I can assume I'll be adding a good...
I work 50 hours a week and live by myself, not counting two dogs and a cat. If it were just me, no pets, I'd have NO problem shopping around - even out of state. As long as it's around the neighborhood of what I was willing to spend, I'm all good with it. Though, I'd rather more of that money...
Really? I thought the '23 TRD Sport was about $34, base price? Maybe I'm wrong. I just started looking into Tacoma's a few months ago when I cancelled my Chevy order.
I'm expecting to pay around $60 for my TH, mostly because the dealer I'm buying from does markup. But, I'm not gonna complain... I've said it before that I had ordered a '23 Colorado ZR2 Desert Boss and that was gonna run me about $65, fully loaded. The TH, from what I've seen, is pretty much...
Agreed. Even without the leak, the estimated pricing that's been all over the internet seems pretty reasonable and pretty comparable with the competition. Hell, if "upper 40's" for a TRD Sport is correct I'm not sure I want to see the price tag for a base TH. 😂
