You've got me actually hopeful at buying one of these again. Having to deal with FL dealerships was something I really wasn't looking forward to. Now I just gotta wait on you to get my unicorn of a truck.
As far as the configurator goes, I guess I'm only really disappointed that 1. it does look like we feared and you can only get the heated steering wheel as part of the upgrade package, and 2. the "multimedia upgrade" is just the screen no better sound system.
Edit: also the upgrade package...
It's an upcoming election year so they're promising lowering rates which will help some.
But the narrative as a whole is going to be pretty interesting. If wages in general don't catch up, people are going to have to fundamentally change how they buy cars and how they view the purchase...
Correct. That's my main issue with it is that it's an additional cost. A premium option. I understand it's additional technology and it costs more to produce and put it in there, but at the end of the day aren't automotive manufacturers supposed to be incentivising consumers forward in EVs? Ford...
Sort of. People are signing up to be paying the highest monthlies ever, but considering a couple months back we hit the highest percentage of people missing their car payments in history, these prices have proved untenable for most people.
If only it were possible for them to release some sort of configurator/product page so that we could have thorough and accurate information on a truck that you can, in theory, buy this month.
But unfortunately I don't think such a thing is possible.
