I had some bikes hanging over the tailgate of my new Tacoma the other day. Every time I tried to reverse it would sense the bikes and automatically apply the brakes. I haven't tried it with the hitch mount bike rack yet, but guessing I will have the same problem. Is there an easy way to turn...
I was one of the frustrated people losing interest, but I kept checking the spreadsheet and found the truck I wanted coming into a dealership a couple hours away. I picked up my truck last Thursday and am super stoked on it. I'm glad I didn't compromise on one of the other brands I was...
Driving home from the dealership last night my navigation kept thinking I was about 30-50 yards away from where I actually was. I got the same result on Waze, Apple and Google Maps. The only way I was able to get an accurate location was to disconnect CarPlay. I looked online and it sounds...
I'm losing interest for sure. Mostly because I have been expecting to be in a new vehicle since September and this thing keeps dragging on with zero explanation from Toyota. I've purchased new designs before and know there can be delays but I've always been kept in the loop to some extent...
Lompoc Toyota in California is offering a $500 discount below MSRP all all 4g Tacomas. They have been great to work with too. I'm not sure if they have any financing discounts available.
I've purchased first model year vehicles today and had delays with production. I'm amazed at how long it is taking Toyota to get produced vehicles to dealerships. Would be nice if they communicated a little bit.
My truck apparently entered "Freight" status today and they are expecting it to arrive between the Feb 29 and Mar 29. So now they are asking me to sign all the sales paperwork and loan docs as though I am receiving the vehicle already. Has anyone else ran into this?
Production is obviously ok. Seems like they are purposely holding back supply with only a slow trickle of deliveries and increase demand (i.e. Super Bowl commercial). If they keep playing games, some of us who actually need a new vehicle right now are going to have to go with a different vehicle.
My last truck was a Ram 1500 4x2. I live in Southern California and thought I wouldn't need 4-wheel drive. After getting stuck 2 times within the first couple of years I swore I would never buy 2-wheel drive again. You would be surprised how easily a truck can get stuck. Probably because of...
I didn't know you could do that. Thanks for the tip! It also looks like it will come with a valet key, which should be safe to get wet so I guess my problem is solved.
