I get the new 4th gen is better but not without its drawbacks. To say its 40-50% better is stretch. Automotive press reviews are just big infomercials kissing Toyotas ass is what i think of them.
I have test driven a sport and a OR and was not impressed. Plastics seem cheaper and glove box was...
All good points but when you pay $60-$65K for a mid size truck you want everything in the truck to be to your liking. Yeah inflation blah, blah blah...but end of the day every manufacturer is producing new trucks for more money and giving buyers less. Toyota had 8 years to design the 4th gen and...
Genius pricing by Toyota. Lets just push up the Tacoma price to near Tundra prices and let get some buyers to buy the overstocked Tundras that dealers have sitting on lots.
Also all this fancy new tech/turbos and the Toyota service dept. is licking their chops right now.
I'd take a PRO without...
all good points, I think alot of people are waiting for the Hybrid too see the reviews, benefits and cost factors. I'm waiting on a PRO myself, but if its like $65-$70K, then maybe looking elsewhere or downgrading.
i wouldn't buy a ZR2 or Canyon but I would look at 3rd gen PRO. More then...
Im sure Toyota will sell them, just not like the 3rd Gens and definitely not every one of them. They are already sitting on lots and they haven't even ramped up inventory yet.
Too much competition now from everyone with new mid sized trucks, interest rates and higher prices.
Id take a PRO without the ISO seats.
Toyota , please put regular seats in so we can use the rear seats for some passengers. Also reduce the price $5000 for those dumb not needed seats. LOL.
Just wait brother, They are building alot of Tacomas. They have to hit sales figures and match previous years sales. Thats about 200K units sold per year average. Plus you don't want the very first ones built , probably full of fit and finish issues and bugs everywhere.
There will be plenty...
Yeah I don't get it. Greed is the only thing happening everywhere. Supply chain issues still 3 years after pandemic? LOL
Even people with the means to pay the ADM and are smart enough aren't going to pay over sticker for a f*cking Tacoma. Idiot dealers out there still thinking you can charge...
So sick of the dealer games with cars and trucks in general. Mark it up $20k , then get a customer to talk them down to $5K mark up, makes it seem like customer is getting a deal.
Hope this sits on the lot and rots away but not with a new gen Taco. Someone will buy it and get screwed.
Highly doubt a PRO will be $55k, that would be a steal compared to this Off-Road.
Hybrid, pogo seats and bumpers will add a significant bump in price going by Toyota standards these days. LOL
Dumb video, why would you go and directly compare it to the competition....people will look at other options now when they release pricing for the hybrids.
Hell a fully loaded Off Road trim is almost as much as Ranger Raptor now. LOL
This is going to be interesting. If a TH or PRO is pushing $65K, then even a GX550 or LandCruiser is going to come into play. Although I'd rather have truck, $65K for a mid-sized truck is pushing the limits on what I will pay. Watch Toyota set the price at $64,999...LOL.
