I just installed the TRD shift knob last night on mine and like the square shape significantly better than the stock one. It sits maybe 3/8" taller. I think this knob is actually easier to work with and feels significantly better than the stock.... just my two cents.

Mine is the same way.... I spotted it immediately at the dealer and the service department confirmed with Toyota - that's the way it's supposed to be. Still seems goofy.

I received my TRD Off Road 6MT on 4/1 and have about 500 mile with zero issues. Mine didn't go into production though until 3/15 so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

Amen to that.... It may just be something on the automatics because I imagine the wiring harnesses themselves are different since the manual doesn't have all the electronics and stuff.

Yes.... The 2023 TRD Pro one is compatible with the 24 6MT Tacoma. I hounded the parts folks and they were able to get me one. I plan on swapping mine out as soon as the truck arrives.
