Well I got mine in the beginning of February and have a fairly low VIN (3TYLB5JN7RT003734). I’ve got almost 16,500 miles on it so far. I hope all is good for at least another 1,500 miles for my trip back from vacation….

I'll look into that, I thought I had it pulled back as far as I could without the extruded aluminum not interfering with the tailgate. But I had just used the molded plastic tops to determine that. I'll see if I can move it back more and hopefully that'll span that gap to keep water out...

The gaskets don’t cover the corner gap at the tailgate…. Is this normal?

Yes, it’s not a thick padding, but it does have a stitched soft vinyl over the hard plastic.

It’s my understanding they do this for carrier transport to make the tires more rigid to strap them down. Part of the dealers check is supposed to be setting the tire pressure to the proper setting for driving.

I will say this, the loaner is a 2023 limited with 96 miles on it and I am glad I got the 2024. This truck feels anemic in acceleration, has less comfortable seats, old tech package, sad camera views, no digital rear view mirror etc…. What a huge difference.
