Not the same thing, but I installed these Rough Country power steps two months ago and they have been perfect for my needs. They look very similar to OEM on the Limited.

Predator Steps just removed from my TRD Off Road with 5,000 miles. Excellent condition. Asking $150 and prefer Northeast Florida transaction.

Also, I noticed after taking this pic the logo was slightly tilted. Easily fixed.

I scratched my head over the same issue. Mine was a different style than yours and I found it on Etsy for about the same price. Solution was to drop lower (first try was in the larger section above where it sits now). Started one side in my hand and tightened half way. Slipped the TRD logo...

Have about 3,000 miles in my TRD OR Premium and what you describe has happened three times, most recently last week. Self corrected each time, within a minute or so.

I have recently done so to install the OEM dash cam. It was difficult but did come down without breaking the red clips (instructions warn this could happen). No suggestions other than be patient.

Yes, you can use the step with tailgate down. It's offset to the right. I like mine and use it.
