I had a similar rattle. It turned out to be the splash guards in the wheel well. The fasteners Toyota used are crap and have too much play in them. The rattling transfers right into the cab of the truck.
I doubt they’ve worked on any new Tacomas but check out blowin money performance in Ridgeland, sc. just down the road from you. The owner is a buddy/customer of mine. They do good work. Owners name is Gary, tell him Chris from Roscos sent you there. They’ll take care of you.
I had this plastic tapping when hitting bumps. After looking all over it turned out to be one of the liners in the wheel well. The smaller plastic one on the drivers side. The little plastic fasteners have a ton of play. I put some tape on it and plan to bring it up at the next dealer visit.
Ok. I thought I was going crazy. Mine does the same thing. I use the lever that moves the seat height up and after about a week it’s back down at the bottom. I was considering asking the dealership but it seemed nuts. Definitely bringing it up now.
We started putting some up and ordered more for a little thing me and my daughter came up with. She started bugging me weeks ago to get the decorations down, I finally caved last weekend.
I’ve had my truck for about 5/6 months and I’m at 12,600 miles and I have had zero issues other than a few glitches with the infotainment software. I love this truck. I had a 2nd and 3rd gen before this and the 4th gen is by far the best truck.
