I feel your pain brothers as I have been through it. Horrible place to be in. Yes Toyota did take care of it. Confidence inspiring, no! Still reluctant to really take a road trip, even with the new one. Unfortunately another failure will always be on my mind. Love the truck but will probably...
I had the vibration and shudder from the drivetrain/ read end when slowing down and coming to a stop with a jolt forward when almost at a complete stop. Was in the TSB and trans was replaced around 3400 miles. Non hybrid. That’s my experience.
No check engine light, just stored code, shifted like crap. Before the TSB it also had stored code and shifted harshly, Toyota declined to replace it on the first visit and shipped it.
I agree with maxx075. This is my first brand new truck and first Toyota purchase. Drove mine until code was stored and retrieved. Shifted horribly, and often got stuck in 6th gear. Until then they were not going to replace the trans. Frustrating, yes! In the end they took care of it. They have...
Feeling it in the seat or rear end of the truck when slowing down in traffic, or coming to a stop. So in other words a small vibration. Sometimes worse than others. Also was felt when accelerating from a stop often 1-4th gear shifts. Hope that helps.
My journey to a new trans started around that same mileage. Similar symptoms, also repeatedly getting stuck in 6th gear. Unfortunately you are going to have to drive it until it codes, drives progressively worse or fails. Nature of the beast. New transmission shits as designed and operates like...
Got it back from the dealership today. New transmission and torque converter. Shifts smooth as butter. Was quite impressed it took less a week to get back in action. Toyota must have gotten a better handle on the availability of parts.
