TIL I have the 588th hybrid Taco built based on this breakdown. That's kinda cool. This may be a reason why the hybrids were delayed, they may have seen some signs of this problem and made sure everything was retooled before starting hybrid/halo production. Sucks for those who were truly amongst...
I've had my Taco since July 6th, and since that day I've had a list of links to future upgrades I knew I'd want. One of those links:
53101-AK070 - Grille Sub Assembly Rad - Toyota Parts Delivered
At the time the price was $273 for the heritage grill, but I see it has since come down to $268...
Bendu is coming along nicely.
Latest additions:
OEM TRD skid plate
Bonobo front tow hooks
ARB rear tow hooks
RetraxONE MX tonneau
And finally got rid of the temp plates đź‘Ś
Just wanted to add that I'm right at 4k miles in my OR Hybrid and have encountered zero issues. I'm having so much fun with it that I rarely check into these forums anymore, so don't forget that for every post about a problem there are probably thousands out there issue free and enjoying their...
Yeah the Start/Stop on these hybrids don't work like traditional gas Stop/Starts. It'll usually turn the engine off as you are coasting to a stop, and if you are gentle on the throttle the engine won't kick back on when you roll away from that stop until you really give it some gas. So it's not...
Went with hybrid for ALL the power lol. I've driven both and can appreciate the immediate and smooth power from a stop, though the gas is not too far behind. Also highly value the 2400W inverter. Not seeing as many MPG gains it seems so I wouldn't use that as a main factor in your decision.
Anyone have a source for just the instrument cluster protector? Only ones I've seen come in a full kit with the 14" screen protector, which I bought separately not realizing I'd need one for the instrument cluster as well.. I'd also be willing to buy anyone's extras if you have them!
Correct, stock tires on OR Hybrids are 265/70R18, same as Pro and TH. Only difference is the super weak, basically street tire tread the OR hybrids have for some reason. I think these actual AT4w’s should’ve come from the factory, but it looks like they eeked out a single mpg gain with the...
I wanted to keep it as light as possible (these new tires are “only” 10 lbs more each) and keep it nice and fast and not lose too many MPG’s in the process. I don’t plan on doing super crazy rock crawling, kinda boring for me tbh, I prefer going fast off road lol.
I just did a 300 mile round...
Thank you! They are technically called AT3w or maybe u, but they are Toyota’s nerfed version of an AT3, basically a street tire with no 3 peak snow rating, which I’ve enjoyed on previous vehicles. Hybrid OR.
