This subject comes up often on this and other forums. Apparently some are put off enough to not buy a Toyota because of it. You would think it would be in their best interest to do something about it. Are you listening Toyota?
Good show. I'm at 5.5k and 19.7 mpg overall since day one. But that has been over a winter and with quite a bit of town driving as well as trailer towing.
It still works when not in cruise, just not as obnoxiously. It's pretty hilly where I live. And I'm perfectly okay with putting on the brakes if needed.
This is my first Toyota (and my first post here). I agree with pretty much all of the above. One thing I needed was a 6-foot (1829mm ;-) bed. It's a truck after all. The Rangers and Colorados seem to be available as 5-footers. One quibble I do have is that my automatic transmission downshifts...
I assume the seats just unbolt? I have a cap coming and I would like to remove the seats temporarily so I can out things back there out of the weather and secure.
LB Taco will 4th truck going back to a '71 GMC one-ton. Paid $1100. That was a real but it didn't have 4WD which was necessary for my driveway when I moved. '93 F150 and '04 Ranger rusted out. Now waiting for the promised Toyota based on reputation.
