That's the screen that the dealer can see. Mine would never send me the actual screenshot like this either. But that is what they're looking at when they give you updates.
I learned a lot about the shipping industry while my truck sat in LZC. I was tracking every boat leaving that port for a month! :cwl: The dates from Toyota were comical too. Once it was on the boat (10/26) my estimated availability updated to 10/28-10/31. I knew it would take about 4 days...
For me, my Trailhunter arrived in Long Beach on 10/31 and was loaded onto the train on 11/7. It arrived at Toyota of Surprise yesterday 11/19. That was the most ridiculous part of the journey to me, that it took 3 weeks to go the last 400 miles after arriving in the US.
I just noticed there are a few 2025 allocations showing up on the Toyota website for Tacomas in my area (Phoenix). Currently 2 Offroad Hybrid and 1 Trailhunter and a ton of non-hybrids. No real details available on any of them, more like placeholders. I think it is interesting because there's...
Same! I am fascinated by the different routes. I spent a lot of time watching ships over the last month and figured Toyota delivers from Mexico to both Long Beach and Benicia (SF Bay). The east cost deliveries I know go out of Vera Cruz to various Atlantic ports. I wonder where the line is...
The boats seem to go about every month. My truck arrived at the port on 9/26, boarded the boat on 10/26, left on 10/28, and arrived at Long Beach on 10/31. Sorry to say, the next boat probably won't leave until Thanksgiving.
Same here. It was 10/29-10/31. Then no dates, just 'in transit'. Then 11/6-11/8. Then just 11/8. Now back to 11/6-11/8. Dealer didn't have any more info as of today, but hoping the truck arrives this weekend.
That thought crossed my mind too. I think my truck arrives in port today and will take a few more days to get here. With any luck, Toyota will roll out some good incentives for the new month!
Sadly so true! What's crazy to me is the 9 day estimate they have for the "Rail Arrive" step! That's a pretty big window. Hope it ends up being on the early side.
Did he tell you which port? From the Guanajuato factory, West coast deliveries seem to all go through the port of Lazaro Cardenas, while East deliveries go through Vera Cruz. No need for the Panama Canal either way. Then it'll arrive to either Long Beach or Benicia.
A bunch of trucks in the Phoenix area (including mine) had their status online updated today to "Estimated Availability 10/29-10/31." I texted my dealer and she told me she could see it was loaded onto a ship in Mexico on 10/26 and is expected to be on the dealer lot between 10/28-10/30...
I'm glad we're within the 'non-worrying' threshold. lol. Will they tell us when to worry? My salesperson said she wouldn't expect an update in the system until it got loaded on the train. It all seems more chaotic than I'd expect from Toyota. I wonder if they know which ship. That would...
That's a fair point. I have been tracking every RO-RO going through LZC. Several have gone to Long Beach in the last few weeks but I assume they're brand specific.
Same here. My Trailhunter was built on 9/3 and has been at LZC since at least 9/26. Previous holds have shown up as holds in the dealer system. So my guess is they're all at the port waiting for a ride to Long Beach.
I had one salesperson tell me there's only one boat per month, which...
Good luck! Nice that your dealer finally decided to work with you. To give you some idea, my Trailhunter was built on 9/3 and is still at the port in Mexico waiting for a boat (as of today, 10/9). I'm still holding to the hope that it'll get here by the end of this month, but that window is...
