Interesting... Toyota actually bought back my 24 Tundra recently due to Transmission issues. I was really hoping I wouldn't hit on 2 in a row. Does yours also make a "tick tick tick" sound in park rhymatically (in a 3 tick beat?)

What really grinds my gears (no pun intended) is Toyota bought back my 24 Tundra because of transmission issues. Really annoys me if my tacoma will also have similar issues.

I just bought a 24 Limited. Currently have less than 250 miles on it, but I can't help but notice that it sounds like a diesel tractor when I shift it into drive. Is this a normal noise for these trucks? According to the TSB, my truck is not inside the effected VIN range.

thanks for the reply. Yeah, I don't want much poke. I found this photo on google, and this is the fitment I would prefer. (Tread is flush with fender, and the sidewall pokes just a smidge) I just need to figure out what offset this is...

I have a Limited with AVS. Do you know if my truck can fit the same wheels/tires as a TRD OR? I was looking at the 285/70R17, just need to figure out what offset I want.

How do you like the door handle covers? Do they seem good for locking/unlocking the doors?

Interestingly, the VIN i was giving by my dealer of a TRD OR that is in allocation, is not on your list despite it falling into the TSB range. Does that make sense?

thanks for the idea. I will ask for more info. All they told me was that it was "in allocation" which they claimed doesn't have an accurate ETA. I assume this means pre/in production? I find it weird that the VIN number is so low if the current trucks are higher. (Assuming VINS are sequential?)...

I was about to put a deposit down on a truck but it's vin falls deep into this TSB. (TSB says under 41XXX, and the truck I found is 13XXX). Aren't vins sequenctial? The dealer claims this truck is still in allocation, whatever that means and they don't have an ETA. Does that make sense...

Hi Jim - What code is for TRD Premium Package? I didn't see that listed on the code list you have link previously. And I assume OU is for TRD Upgrade Package? And does the listed Jim's price include or exclude your fee?

Is a limited slip differential and a locking rear diff the same thing? I'm new to off roading

Do you know if the sport has a rear locker? I can't seem to find a definite yes or no on that.
