Do you have a power tailgate? I am trying to figure out why their website says "Fit for 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma 5FT/6FT Heavy Duty Custom Truck Bed Mat / Tailgate Mat(Don't Fit Power Tailgate)" and there is no separate option for one that does fit power tailgate.
@LASFIT if you're around to...
i turned the "fake" (i don't think it's actually fake, it just slightly amplifies the real engine noise through the speakers) engine noise back on before my subscription ran out. but i don't care even if it is fake - it sounds better with it enabled.
There is only 2 ways they can possibly be inserted - fat side front, or fat side back - and I tried them both. Either way, they rattle in the hole when opening and closing because the fit is too loose, and there is still play in the gap. *shrug* may i got some bum ones, or my truck has bigger...
sorry, i'm sure you've discussed all this elsewhere already, but still no codes on an OBD reader?
how many miles now, and when was the last time a dealer looked at it? did you try a second dealer? i can't fathom them just ignoring such symptoms, code or not.
clearly a symptom of something, frustrating that toyota has the gall to call it normal. has yours always done it, or if not at what mileage did the symptom start? i am at 500 miles with no noticeable transmission issues......yet.
based on the quote above in spanish, i think OP is not a native english speaker and using google translate to post.
my interpretation based on that assumption: he's shocked by how quickly they replaced the transmission. and now with the new transmission, 80% of the time he shifts into reverse...
i checked the installation guide for yours and mine, and they have the exact same drill templates, so i am good. thanks!!
p.s. in case you ever need the info, yours is a 74811-01A: https://guides.americantrucks.com/T528119-manu.pdf
hi @dknelson, which AMP model do you have? I *think* the holes are in the right location for mine from a quick dry fit, but they might be a tiny bit too high. i have a 74801-01A.
If it rains where you are, they can't be worse! I loved the look of my KO2s (C-load) and they were fine for everything else, but they have no grip when taking off on damp or wet roads, and it is infuriating. I hear they have improved this on the KO3s.
there's a guy on reddit reporting he got his truck 2 weeks ago, VIN outside the TSB, with a transmission failure at 650 miles. if he's not mistaken, or lying to save face for not doing his research, uh-oh:
