I did add the bumper after the fact. It came with everything needed for the install and the OEM wiring harness transferred over. The wiring harness I selected was the basic reverse/DRL taillight connection option.
I don’t have a desire to add AUX switches to my Sport since I use the Bluetooth...
I have the Sport trim and got these installed last night on my ARB OEM bumper. They look awesome!
So….
I do not have the AUX switches in the Sport and that was fine with me when I bought it since I use a Garmin PowerSwitch to control all my exterior lighting. I would love to be able to have a...
I ordered a TRD Pro steering wheel during the holiday sale and it’s expected to arrive in a few days.
For those that have done it, anything I should be away of? I have not tackled this before so am wondering how difficult (if at all) it is.
Thanks!
I’ve got a Sport that does not have the JBL center dash portable speaker. However I do have the speaker which I happened to bid on eBay months ago for 50 bucks and to my surprise I won. I use it all the time and take it with me camping and to the office almost daily.
I got to thinking, is it...
This post is old but I wanted to update those with my solution. OP is correct in that a manual Rivet gun won’t really cut it. I ended up using RivNuts (1/4) and it worked perfectly. It’s also easier to remove the mounting plate if/when needed to resell it.
Hello,
I found a really cheap set of OEM Rigid fog lights. I was wondering 1) are they plug and play into a Sport trim? 2) are they much better than the non-Rigids?
Well I decided to go for it and see what would happen.
Happy to report that the harness transferred over to the ARB and was a complete match. If you salvage the plastic locking pins and carefully remove them, they match up perfectly internally to the ARB. No need to buy another harness. This...
Extra bit. I have heard that the harness is the exact same and the only difference is the attachment points inside the new ARB but that you can just zip tie your current one in the ARB so save some coin rather than spend 100+ to get a harness that matches the inside clip points.
Hello everyone,
I have a TRD Sport and picked up the ARB OEM bumper for a pretty great price.
I am looking through the manual and it looks rather straight forward. I do see it lists a harness that is required but before I tackle it, if anyone has done the install too, does the previous harness...
For sure. I’m not being a dick about it to them but just frustrated. It’s 9 months old…
But they are doing everything possible and have put me in a free Tacoma loaner while they figure it out.
Extra update. I stopped by the dealer to pick up some things that I need since Toyota is going to have the truck longer than expected. I was shocked to find the entire dash dropped and the internals splayed out like human entrails. A 40 year Toyota tech sitting in the front seat following all...
No updates as of today. Still cannot figure out why they cannot get things to cooperate. Theyve now opened up a corporate ticket with Toyota (whatever that means) and now have to wait for their help.
Is anyone familiar with what a corporate ticket means? This is super frustrating.
Not very happy with Toyota right now. Yesterday I had a first service scheduled with Toyota and they informed me there was a software update for a recall related to the blind spot monitoring system. I approved them to apply the fix. When I returned to pick up my truck, about an hour later I was...
I am being dragged up north to the Seattle area from Portland for my sister in laws birthday against my will lol.
I have been on the hunt for an ARB bed rack. Looking to spend 400. If you have one collecting dust and want it gone, let me know! I’ll be up here through the evening.
