Sorry. You’re misinformed. According to my Model Code number found on the inside of the drivers side door my truck is rated to tow 6400#. See attached photo. I’m not sure why you’re arguing with me. I bought a curt echo and there’s no way to hard wire the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 I have. End of story.

Yes. My manual verifies my truck can tow 6400# and has a tow package. So What? Still…no brake controller so what good is 6400# tow capacity? I don’t plan on boating any time soon.

From what I see this is just the part not the wiring.

Wiring is not behind the panel. Spent 2 hours at Texas Trailers this morning with them hunting everywhere for the wiring. They finally found the blue brake controller wire (goes to the 7 way) dead ended at the fuses. Everything would have to be rewired which would probably void our warranty.

I had exactly the same experience. I asked all of the questions and it was never a problem. Even today the dealership couldn’t understand what the problem was! I also have a MT so not sure if that factors in.

Agree. But, why should I have to spend around $200 when I already have a brake controller that should be able to be hard wired like previous Tacos?

Our ‘24 SR has all 7 pins. I’ve traced the brake wire into the cab so it’s there!
