Same concept, yes, but the one I saw didn't use gas struts like that. It was mounted flat and had access to the hollow points in the tailgate through little "doors" that you could take off (or maybe slide???) to get access. Although I do like this option! Seems like a great use of space. Will...
Hey guys. I came across this tailgate insert from Mountain Hitch the other day (picture attached) and it reminded me that I saw another one recently that was similar, but it actually utilized the hollow points of the tailgate as little drawers/cubbies that you could use for extra storage. Does...
I honestly think it looks perfect. I had this exact same dilemma with my Gen 3 for a while and then fell in love with the look. I think yours looks awesome. BTW, which suspension lift are you running?
Wow. I just read every post on this thread and am so impressed with everybody. I'm meeting with Super Pacific next week and hoping to get an X1 camper on my TRD OR LB before TOO long. I'll do a very minimal camper build in the back, but was wondering what to do about rear suspension. This thread...
Yeah totally. So I’m assuming it’s a bit louder, obviously? Would you consider it a noticeable “drone” on extended highway/freeway driving? I had the TRD exhaust in my 3rd Gen and it got to be a. It much after a while. But I really like the practicality and aesthetics of this mod. I’m torn. Thanks!
Oh wow. I have a Carista. I'm going to look into this ASAP. Surprised I didn't notice it when I was fiddling with my truck last month. Thanks for the heads up!
What'd you end up going with here? I like the idea of weight savings. I've had 6 Tacomas and I've never wheeled them to the point where I need a rock slider to protect the truck from giant boulders like the true wheelers out there do. I like them for protection against flying rocks, sand, salt...
Guaranteed the Raptor wins. I looked into it before I bought my 6th Tacoma. It's an awesome vehicle, but the 5ft boogie board bed is a deal breaker for me. Keeping it Toyota for now.
I really love that about the smart caps. Although I'd most likely go with the sport edition to have the windows. I sleep in the back of my truck on surf and mountain biking trips all the time and I like having the window for ventilation. But gosh, I love the idea of mounting all this stuff on...
