Has anyone noticed (we are winter up her in Canada) that when you get going in your Ranger in cold weather that the interior of the windshield fogs up pretty quickly unless you actively press the Defrost button? Our 5g didn't do this nor do any of my other cars. It seems like the AUTO setting of the climate control doesn't send much of a breeze up to the front.

We had a pretty darn cold winter here in NJ and I didnt have any issues with fogging up. If anything, I think the Auto setting(2 out of the 3 dashes), does a pretty amazing job at keeping the cabin comfy.

There is a setting for the auto mode that increases the airflow, shows as red dashes below the auto symbol. Similar to the heat setting for the seats. maybe this has defaulted to low?

To switch dual mode on or off, press the button on the touchscreen to access the climate controls, then press the button.[11]

Note: Recirculated air may turn off automatically, or prevent you from switching on in all air flow modes except MAX A/C to reduce the risk of fogging. Recirculation may also turn on and off automatically in various air distribution control combinations to improve heating or cooling efficiency.
Turn the control on the left-hand side of the climate control to set the left-hand temperature. Turn the control on the right-hand side of the climate control to set the right-hand temperature.[13]
Note: This control also sets the right-hand side temperature when you switch off dual zone mode.

Iā€™m not sure what part of Canada youā€™re in, but Iā€™m in Minnesota and I always get a chuckle when others say ā€œitā€™s been a cold winterā€. Iā€™m sure it gets cold, but until you spend winter in the northern plains (central Canada, Minnesota, the Dakotas), Iā€™ve noticed there is a misunderstanding about what cold really is ;)
Iā€™m like youā€¦I keep the climate control on auto (with the 3 dashes so air is moving as much as possible) but still OFTEN have to turn on the defrost to clear the windshield. This happens much more in this Raptor than any other vehicle Iā€™ve had here in the same weather with an ā€œauto climate controlā€. So I have the same thoughts as youā€¦ auto doesnā€™t appear to sent much airflow through the upper dash / windshield vents, but more through the standard cabin dash vents. Itā€™s been a minor nuisance, but certainly one I notice most mornings on the way to work.
