Best place \ time \ promos to buy tires?

Wondering if theres any tricks or tips as when to get a better deal on some rubber. In the past ive saved shipping costs by picking up from a Tirerack local warehouse. But ive moved another hour further now days so that doesnt make it anymore ideal.

Normally I buy from TireRack as well, but I just purchased a set of studded snows (Nokian) from Walmart, of all places. They had the best price, and they give a break on the install at their tire center.
