Disassembling the rear of the console in a Limited

I am researching how to open up the rear of the console to mod the storage box area with an internal USB panel much like in my wife’s Lexus RX. Looks like the cup holder well should just be popped out and the rear panel on the console may also be removable. Has anyone done this yet and have any pointers?

My advice would be to look at an exploded parts breakdown. You can see how everything fits together. Oh, and let us know how it goes.
