I wanted a regular key for my taco. While I primarily use the digital key on my phone, I didn’t totally trust it. I also want to be able to engage in water centric activities and disable the remote and lock it in the vehicle Like I did on my ‘18.
a call to the parts department got the response that The only physical Keys are the emergency key contained within the handle, I compared my emergency key to one on a ‘23 tailgate that belongs to an employee and it looked the same. So I took a gamble. Parts department didn’t want to order and laser cut as they input my vin and said it was a no go. I assumed the risk. I paid to much and if I had to do it again I would order blanks From eBay and send them away to one of the laser cutting services that will cut by code. nobody I could find near me who does it, so it might be even easier for you.
