SXTH is teasing a larger inter cooler already. Is there a huge stand alone benefit? Or do you need a tune to take advantage or it?
A larger more efficient intercooler will be a benefit even on a stock truck. Cooler consistent charge temps equal the motor to not pull timing. You will really notice it pulling a trailer or running the truck hard. Livernois motorsports in Michigan did a dyno test on stock vs aftermarket larger intercooler on the 2.7 ecoboost and it was quite impressive. If you search on YouTube you can find the video, watch it once and he’ll explain the benefits also.

The gas vs hybrid numbers stock and tuned make me very happy I went with the gas. I wanted a long bed so was willing to get the gas but was worried I would have a bit of fomo not getting the hybrid. 20-30 hp and 50-70 torque is not that big of a difference.

I still struggle with getting the tune. It made a huge difference in my 3rd gen but wasn’t perfect. The 3rd gen had a lot of power plant and trans short comings. It Made the throttle way too touchy was one complaint. The 4th gen is pretty damn good. A little turbo lag is really my only complaint on the engine and the trans is great. I will keep an eye on those getting the tune. Curious what the price will be. If it’s more then the 3rd gen I’m out for now because it has far less to “fix” and improve then the 3rd gen.

I’m glad you guys are out there doing it and am sure plenty of people will want it done. Thanks guys.
