Lag on the infotainment system?

I haven't seen much said about this, but has anyone else noticed the lag on the infotainment system and is there a way to fix this? There's just a delay in changing songs, pausing/playing and it's annoying. There's also a huge delay between sound and video. I was watching a youtube video in my truck the other night while trying to figure out some stuff in the settings and I had to turn carplay off so I could just hear it through my phone. The sound was probably a full second behind the video. Like I said, not as big an issue, but it is a bit of an inconvenience since I often take lunch in my car and will browse youtube or social media.

Try typing stuff in the search window on google or the toyota map: infuriating.

I have also noticed the delay between sound/video- but it's not isolated to this truck- i rent half the month every month, and about 50% of the cars I rent have this issue. It might be a wireless carplay implementation problem.
