Have been thinking about downsizing for a while and found a 24 off road I hope to make a deal on tomorrow. Will be trading my 19 Ram 1500. Last Toy was a 01 Tundra but it liked to eat transmissions. Also had a T100 I loved. In the 80s I had a 70 something longbed sr5. Fun little rig.

Best of luck with your purchase and hope all goes as planned.

Dating back 1999, I’ve purchased two new 4Runner’s, a new FJ Cruiser, and a certified pre-owned Lexus RX hybrid. I was skeptical when I learned Toyota was replacing the V6 with a turbo 4 cylinder I-Force or I-Force Max Hybrid engine until I got the opportunity to test drive both. Less than a week after test driving the Tacoma Limited I-Force, Tacoma Trailhunter I-Force Max hybrid, and Tundra 1794, I purchased the Trailhunter and could not be more pleased with my purchase thus far.

Time will tell how reliable the new power plants will be, but that is what extended warranty’s are for after a redesign.

Regardless, I think you’re gonna be real happy with your purchase!!!

the 4 cylinder is gonna be quite a change from the 5.7 Hemi I am used to but I am optimistic.

I got my TRD OR premium out the door for 500 under MSRP. So the deals are there.

I came from a 5.7 Tundra. You won’t miss the 5.7…..except the beautiful V8 rumble!

Like @MT-Taco I came out of a 5.7 Tundra, which I loved, but I have never once regretted the move.

My Tundra came from the factory with a TRD dual exhaust and it did sound wonderful.

Drove it home last night. The amount of tech is a bit overwhelming for a guy of my limited nerdiness. Got lots to figure out. I ended up a bit over 6 grand off MSRP but took a hit on the trade in to get there. It took several back and forths but it worked out and they hit the target I wanted out the door. Dang you got to be on your toes with them. We started off almost 6 grand apart due to their first BS lowball offer on my Ram.

Same here with my Ram. They are giving them away new, so used values are plummeting. They gave me 30k for my 22 quad 4x4 Big Horn with 22k miles, but after checking with the Ram dealer and Carmax, I realized their offer was competitive.
