Going to parenthesis by saying, this was the outing all of us realized we need GoPros, and a drone would be cool to. Didn't get nearly as much video and pictures as I wanted, by the time it even clued in that I should be filming, it was half way through and my phone died half way through my filming.

Growing up in Eastern Canada, this isn't the type of snow wheeling I'm used to, Northern Alberta don't tend to get nothing for snow, usually too cold to snow lol.

Trip started off with a river crossing, and continued on with with a trail size seen in the videos, we ventured down a couple really narrow trails but decided not to continue, I'm not ready to pinstripe the paint just yet lol.

There were a few rough spots of the trail, nothing serious, and none of it filmed. That said, the Tacoma once again impressed me with just how well she handled herself on Duratracs.

We came up on an interesting part of the trail. a steep hill down and up, we decided to take the right fork going down and then take the other side going back up. This is where things got interesting and I wish I had all the footage.

The video really don't do justice to just how steep, icy, and rough this was going in wasn't an issue for any of us, coming back it got really interesting.

We decided to send the frontier first, as shown in the video his attempts were not looking good for us. We spent about 15 minutes with traction boards and multiple attempts to get him up, finally, as we were talking amongst ourselfs and not looking, he made a final run for it and made it.

Next in line was the Titan, he had hybrid ATP tires so we most certainly knew he'd get stuck his attempts, not recorded due to a dead phone, was not successful either. We spent another 15-20 minutes trying to get him up and we ended up having to tow him up with the frontier with traction boards under the frontier.

Next, my turn. I was still feeling confident and cocky which is unlike me. I muttered "let's show em how it's done girl" as I shifted into 1st and made my way down

This is my biggest regret of not getting footage. The video you see, is my first attempt. I got half way up the hill 4H, traction/stability off, and 2nd gear ... stalled.

At this point my friend stopped recording and said he'll tow me up to avoid burning out my clutch, not a chance, I got a Tacoma . I backed down as far as I could go and made a decent run for it, got all the way to the crest of the hill without spinning before I once again stalled out (I'll get the hang of this manual offroading lol). Once again, my friend laughed and though for sure I was cooked. Negative. I turned her on, flicked her back in 1st and without hesitation walked the truck up the hill, marking my victory.

Besides my lack of clutch control, this truck did not struggle once to make it up that icy, bumpy and very steep snow covered hill. That's the moment I fell in love with her all over again, for the 10000th time.

Man I love this truck.

Anyways, here's some more footage I was able to grab coming back out of the trail and the river crossing we had to do at the end. The sun was set and night was falling, it was snowing fairly hard for up this way, it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Without a doubt, investing in some gopros to stick on the outside of the truck for the next adventure. I missed filming a lot of beautiful scenery that day. Hopefully I'll get around to doing the ice road this year and get some nice footage of that :)
