A better deal is don’t lease and buy one you can afford to purchase. Go for a lower trim level and ask for 8-10% off MSRP. Avoid dealer add ons. Put some money down. Wait for better finance rates through Toyota.

Not disagreeing and thank you for the suggestion. I just really don't like the other trim levels, and Im stuck because there aren't many hybrids available that match exactly what Im looking for. Plus, the non-hybrid Off-Road is currently under a stop-sale, with a fix expected around May.

On top of that, if tariffs take effect on Monday, the 3rd, and I wait, I might end up not being able to afford anything.

Sticker is $57,280. Dealer is in Maryland but I live in NJ.
I think that you can get 5-7k off of the sticker price. These as well as every other new vehicle aren't selling. I paid 61k for a new Pro. Only port add on was $599 for bed liner. I'm seeing 7k off new TH 5k easy off OR premium in midwest

Not sure where in NJ you are, but i would expand my search, upstate ny has some very good deals going , the dealers for the most are decent, the further you look upstate the better deal you can find.
For the lease thing…thats personal and i wont commenton your choice, i keep my trucks 10 years, and usually buy them outright, trade or sell my previouse truck , but what works for you is your call.
The one dealer i found upstate was wappingers falls, id stay away , they pack the trucks with crazy useless add ons, tire air, stop alert, carpet spray …typical dealer crap…….go further north. Youll find deals , i purchase trucks from Prestege of kingston, im going up saturday to buy Highlander for wife, and son is going up in few weeks to order truck……i know you want black, but last week they had a 2025..trd Offroad, imax, for under 50……….good luck

If you cannot afford the truck then I would not lease. If you don't like lower trims you may want to look at a different truck. I would not live outside of your means for a vehicle. Eating jank food and not having extra money for whatever you want or emergencies is never worth it. Especially locked into that financial slavery for years.

I know it's what you want but it unfortunately doesn't sound like what you need right now. If you /need/ a truck right now for working, I would get a used one until you can afford a new one. That day will come it just may not be today =)

Cheers

Thanks for the input. Any idea if it had the premium package for under 50?

Search Cars.com for 24' model years. Under 50 may be pushing it as I think the 25' OR Premiums start around 57 58k. I would not lease , you are wasting your money. Or if you can hold out a few months and all the " tax check" buyers are out of the market you may save a bit more. Try haggling around 3rd week of the month with a purchase before end of month. Sone dealers just won't budge. Move on and find one that wants to sell trucks. I drove 3 hrs 1 way to save a ton on my new Pro

That truck is a 2025, blue, for $48,500……..it doesnt have the premium package, that would bump price another $ 9000, Thats only IMAX they currently have, they have several non hybrids, in black, and some long beds……keep looking you will find your truck, they have 25,s in the SR5 Trims for under 40,

When i was talking with my dealer he told me the IMAX, Trucks are selling fast and they havent been coming in as frequent as non Hybrids, Black is a very common color for toyota, so im sure youll find what you want , just start hunting

I’ve been searching everywhere for a 2025 Tacoma TRD Off-Road Hybrid in black with the premium package. I found one at a dealer a few hours away, but I’m not sure if it’s a good deal. I’ll be leasing, and these are the numbers they gave me:

$5000 down
10k miles per year
39 months
$703

Purchase order breakdown attached.

Here are my thoughts:
1) the mileage allowance is super important. If you go cheap on it now, you’ll end up paying for it later. Having an brand new off road vehicle, I’d give yourself more miles than you think
2) if you put $5k down, and it ends up in an accident, you’re not getting that $5k back for your next vehicle.
3) the total amount you pay is the same regardless of what you put down as a deposit. It does change the monthly payment, but the total cost of leasing the truck is the same.

I’m leasing mine because
1) I’ve never had a truck and wanted to see how I’d like it.
2) I find myself wanting something new in about 3-4 years on average
3) 1st model of an all new Tacoma generation

I had equity in my trade in so ended up walking away with a decent check from the broker, a new truck, and $0 down for a payment in the mid $500’s. The dealership I went to first did try to have my roll over all of my trade in value to the truck and the payment was still in the $700’s on a 12k mile lease. Try talking to a broker who might look after you better than the dealership sales guys.
Again just my thoughts

I would go for a cheaper model. Unless you do hardcore Off-roading regularly SR5 4X4 will be fine. Get the cold weather package for heated seats and other upgrades.

44k ish before discounts. Should be able to get the price down to 40k

This or buy a sport and then upgrade items when you have cash to do so. If you sell it when your lease term would be up in 36 months you'd get sone of your money back vs just giving it to the dealer. Should find a TRD Sport for 44 47k after discounts.

I found a pre-owned 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-road w/Premium package and 2700 miles in the color I wanted, bronze. The guy bought it, loaded it up with all the options and spent money lifting it, wheels and tires, etc. I paid $47,800, $10k less thank what I would have paid before the add-ons if bought from a dealer. Do some more shopping… don’t lease!
