I have 5 Toyota dealers in my area, I bought my truck from a dealer 3 hours away, lol. I was close to buying from a local dealer, I actually liked the salesman. Then, when the truck arrived, the finance manager entered the deal and tried their usual bullying nonsense. I walked, emailed a dealer 3 hours away about a truck they had coming in...gave them a deposit the next day. I drove by the original truck as it sat for another 3 months, someone bought it in January when the discounts were even deeper. They literally lost thousands because they weren't nice, lol

Eventually car manufacturers will learn, punishing your customers by forcing them into a dealerships "experience" in order to buy your product is a terrible idea.
Whether or not my next vehicle is a Scout depends on whether or not they can stick to the Tesla model of operating without dealerships.
I agree 100% I'm still getting emails from dealers that I reached out too when I was searching. Most of them are 4 paragraph messages explaing the " Bob Wilson Toyota" experience and how they have a 99% satisfaction rating and 9 president's awards from Toyota. Bro, I don't care, I will probably never walk into your dealership again unless it's a warranty, recall etc. Hopefully when I do need a major repair this truck is 10 yrs old and I can buy the part myself and the software to program is available with a harbor freight scan tool. I want the best price on a vehicle. The fact that you have an expresso machine in your lobby and a beautiful waiting room with The View on your 1080p 80" TV doesn't make me want to waste a few grand with you.

Sticker is $57,280. Dealer is in Maryland but I live in NJ.
They have $5K-$7K markup from MSRP. I just bought a 2024 and got $9,118 off MSRP with a $495 dealer fee. I was offered a 2025 for $5K off. Just have to find a large, high volume dealer. This type of discount comes off a $58K truck. Shop it and you will find one. NH is your best bet

Does it have the premium package? That’s a must for me.
I have the premium.. Worth every penny With Hybrid. Very quiet engine and loads of low end torque. Seems Ike a lot, but when you break it down, it is a bargain.

Went to a high volume Toyota Dealer in NH and after a month of back and forth, got a great deal.
Can you share the name of the dealer? I'd drive to NH for a deal like that.

Yes. This was for a 2024. They did offer $5K off a 2025. I bought the 2024. There was some delays (30 days) and they gave me additional discount. That is how I got to the discount received. Portsmouth, NH

If you can get $5,000 off MSRP before any nonsense add-on, you will have done good. The dealer fee is steep but they probably won’t budge. I shopped for many months and found you can do much better on a 2024 leftover with 12 miles. I bought a 2024 Hybrid with Premium built 12/2024 with Bed liner and skid and got a ridiculous $9,118 and $500 from Toyota due to a delay in delivery but I worked to get it. $495 dealer fee and they included a 10 year/150K warranty on engine and drivetrain with no deductible. The same dealer offered a 2025 for $5K off and said that was a normal discount, no special deal So you are close. I would hit them at $6K off.

What is the money factor (which is essentially your interest rate ) on your lease? You should know that..

I’ve been searching everywhere for a 2025 Tacoma TRD Off-Road Hybrid in black with the premium package. I found one at a dealer a few hours away, but I’m not sure if it’s a good deal. I’ll be leasing, and these are the numbers they gave me:

$5000 down
10k miles per year
39 months
$703

Purchase order breakdown attached.

Since I love the truck so much I decided to finance. Screw leasing. Wound up getting $5500 off MSRP and an extra 4 years bumper to bumper warranty. OTD was $57.5k. Down payment I used 8k equity from my 3 year Honda civic lease and added an additional 5k out of pocket. $700 monthly payment.

Sounds like $32,417.00 down the drain.
Sorry but I personally feel like this is not a good deal.

What you want and what you're wanting to afford are two different things. I couldn't afford the monthly payment on mine either (5.99 APR when I bought mine), which is why I put 25k down to offset that high payment. My monthly is still like 5ish with 50% down.

You may need to look into something else if you can't afford it or don't want to compromise - because leasing a vehicle is pretty much like throwing cash away.

I think that you can get 5-7k off of the sticker price. These as well as every other new vehicle aren't selling. I paid 61k for a new Pro. Only port add on was $599 for bed liner. I'm seeing 7k off new TH 5k easy off OR premium in midwest
