Production dates/VIN sequence

I’m curious as to how Toyota assigns the VIN numbers as I have seen some VIN numbers higher then mine that were built in December or January while mine was built this month and is in the 600 range. Mine has a build date of 0224 and the VIN number is in the 600 range. Anyone else care to post their manufactured date and the sequence of the last few numbers of your VIN? I’m guessing mine may have been assigned a VIN early on and was built later due to lack of items to fulfill the premium package. I’m a huge first generation Camaro nut and I know there are sites that list all of the VIN number ranges for each month for the first generation Camaro so we know they didn’t skip around.

I’m not seeing that so far when I break down the numbers from the sold tab of the allocations sheet. I actually see a lot of holes in the sequence.

TFL's serial number is 319. I know a few guys here got theirs even earlier. Curious who has the earliest build here.

Scary as my serial number is only around 300 from that one and u see a lot of skipped numbers in the sequence. I have a list at home where I parsed out all of the common junk and only output the last 6 characters to see what the lowest VIN that has been sold is. I think it was around 45 or 50.

I am really surprised that nothing has leaked out on why they are being held. I’m sure they are loosing some sales. They are probably thinking that they will sell all they can build, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a down year due to price increases and high interest rates. There will also be a lot of repos from the last few years for sale.

Looking at the allocation sheet from a couple days ago, looks like one with a vin ending in 19 shipped to the dealer MD the first week of February. It was an Ice Cap SR. Interesting ship day, wonder if it was held up for something. Each of the two plants seems to be using their own numbers so there will be some repeated last 6 VIN numbers if you are searching. I found my truck’s twin from the other plant.
