When searching for tire wheel combos, poke and weight were priority. I’ll admit this setup has a little more poke than I’d prefer, but I’m happy with it. I believe the 8” wheel width and the tire tread width helped to minimize.

Now the details. The OEM TRD OR wheels with BFG Trail Terrain tires weigh 64 lbs 11 ozs.

The Relations Race Wheels Monoforged RS7-S 17x8 +12 Offset - 18 lbs 14 oz
MT Baja Boss AT 285/70/17 SL 48 lbs. This does not include center caps, which I’m waiting on delivery. Total weight 66 lbs 14 oz. This is actual weight not estimated.

Shout out to my local Discount Tire store….The Baja Boss’ balanced great, 3/4 oz to max 4.5 oz. They roll smooth with a slight hum. I’ve only driven 20 miles on them, but happy with initial ride. One thing I noticed was the lack of gravel they picked up going up and down my 400 yd drive a few times, then out on road with no gravel slinging.

I have a set supposed to be delivered today as well, mine are going on the stock rim though, I also went with them due to weight.

Nice choice! I also went with the MT SL in the same size, but I went with the Method 703's 17x8.5 +35. Checked with a level, right at 1" of poke from the fender.

Nice! Do you have a few miles on yours? Have you been happy with them?

I've had them a few weeks now, mostly short city trips, and a few highway miles. Only a couple hundred miles so far but no complaints. I was considering the AT4 wild peaks but dang they are heavy.

I’d considered the AT4 and BFG KO3. It was difficult decision, I think both would be great tires, but couldn’t get past the weight.

Even though I’m only 2 lbs over the stock weight, I still feel the rolling resistance of the bigger tires. Mostly from a dead stop. Not an issue but it’s there.

Don’t have enough miles to compare yet. I do have a route that I drive every couple weeks that I’ll use for comparison. It’s through the hills of North Arkansas, 230 miles round trip. My last trip I averaged 25.8 mpg on stock setup

Any updates on MPG's?
Looks like a winning combination.
When you get right down to it there aren't all that many good AT tires available in the sub 50lbs range in this size, especially with 3pms winter rating.
These and the Nokian Outpost nAT are both on my shortlist.

Thanks for sharing, looks badass!

Based on same trip, my MPG dropped a little less than 2 MPG. I averaged 22.5 MPG, not adjusted for larger tire size.

Very happy with these tires. They are great in the rain, low noise level, and don’t pick up rocks.
