  1. Can anyone recommend a specific vacuum brake bleeding kit?

Thanks for the tips, j. I got a Mityvac vacuum and pressure bleeder: decided to take a chance with a name brand for more money. I was able to quickly suction out some fluid (and air) from the rear brake bleeder that way and then pump a lot more new fluid through the master cylinder with the...
  2. Can anyone recommend a specific vacuum brake bleeding kit?

As noted, it's for my motorcycle, not Tacoma. The rear brake will not develop enough pressure to even pump the old fluid out. I suspect there is a lot of air somewhere, probably in all the extra ABS plumbing. So I think I need to suction the fluid out from the bleeder screw while keeping the...
  3. Can anyone recommend a specific vacuum brake bleeding kit?

Not for my Taco, but I think I need a vacuum brake bleeding kit. Harbor Freight has one for about $65 and Amazon has them from under $20 to Sky's The Limit. I have heard comments on other forums that they are junk but also that they are lifesavers. Can anyone recommend a specific brand or item?
  4. Gulf States Toyota - ripoff?

Great idea! We all know how much better and cheaper the brokers have made it when buying tickets for live music shows...
  5. FINALLY!! New 6MT Off Road

Exactly! MSRP is rather meaningless, and I don't understand why it's not considered false advertising: Toyota supplies through regional monopoly distributors like GST which add hundred$ if not thousand$ to the selling price under the guise of 'options' with an extremely high profit margin...
  6. FINALLY!! New 6MT Off Road

Yes: maybe in today's chaotic new world of tariffs and uncertainty Toyota will stop preventing MOTIVATED BUYERS from getting exactly what they want. I looked for 8 months before finding, only 4 hours away, a 6MT with what I wanted and "only" about $1000 of excess options. They hosed me for the...
  7. Delete apps from 14" multimedia dispay.

I want to upvote this in case Toyota is listening! My truck is 2 months old and as soon as the included Sirius trial ends, I would like to be able to remove all traces of it from my infrustationsystem. I mean infotainment. Same with Apple, Amazon, AM radio. It sure would be nice to be able...
  8. Trip Odometer

This is just one of the infuriating things Toyota has implemented poorly and which other manufacturers know how to do. You're braver and smarter than I, Roadster Racer! I just beat my head against the wall until I finally figured it out, instead of asking for help. But I have several other...
  9. 2.4 Rattle / Knock noise under load - does yours sound like this?

Thanks, I'll check it out! Has anyone already tried this Amazon/Nonsense-name mat to see if it reduces the noise much and if it appears to be high quality? It has zero reviews as of now. Also, it claims to provide both sound and heat insulation, which makes sense, but is there any risk of...
  10. Thank you, Tacoma4G - Happy with my new EKR Leather Seat Covers

Ditto to all the above. I almost did the same, but noticed that the factory web site offers even more variety (for more money). If you're happy with black, Amazon is the way to go. I decided to pay an extra $60 to get seats with contrasting khaki colored inserts/black edges and with different...
  11. 2.4 Rattle / Knock noise under load - does yours sound like this?

I completely agree that these trucks should all have the giant underhood noise-reduction pad; well, maybe it would have been excusable to leave it off the SR model. In that rev range, this is the worst-sounding engine, including '80s diesel cars, that I can ever recall. And I'm an old guy. I'm...
