What's a 4Runner XP badge (in place of the TRD Off-Road emblem)?

Hey all! Picking up our new offroad premium and it's coming with the XP package. From my understanding this is a south east dealers only option. My question is - the TRD OFFROAD badge isn't on the side, just an XP badge. Spoke to the sales rep yesterday, she said it comes from factory like this, the dealer doesn't actually do the package upgrades. Anyone else have an XP only badge? A little disappointed about it.

I would be disappointed too. Confusing and adding another variable to an already clouded model lineup.

If the XP badge bothers you enough, you can order a replacement TRD Off-Road badge. Easy enough fix.

For sure I can, was just wanting to know if others have this package also are missing the offroad badge. Seems odd they would badge a package that's basically just cosmetic and tire upgrade. I can totally see throwing the XP on there somewhere in addition to the offroad, but was puzzled it was in place of.

Southeast Toyota is a different distributor than the rest of the U.S. and create their own accessory packages and install these at the port in Jacksonville FL.

The sales rep explained this to me when trying to get my 2020 Tacoma in a specific configuration. In the end, I had to search outside Southeast distributor reach and got my Tacoma from Tennessee

XP (set) and TSS (gst) are just glorified upsell packages for those respective regions and are not available in general toyota usa dealers.

pretty much a rim and minor cosmetic changes for a $3000-$5000 upcharge. and they still rip you since they keep the oem wheels and tires.

and these are usually added to a base SR5 and charge for TRD price.

but hey they look nice if you dont know

and yes i am kinda biased on those packages that i dont care for them, but i see the benefit for people that dont know better. its especially confusing for GST region since "TSS" package confuses people with toyota's "TSS" toyota safety sense

Biggest component is the wheels and tires. Mine is on 18" Nitto Ridgegrappler tires. The rest is minimal. Tried to upload a video for you, but it won't load.
