I called them and they measured the bracket and it is big enough I can drill to enlarge the hole to 5/8" for thee antenna base. So I ordered a set. Likely only need the drivers side
I installed the faceplate and also the microphone using zip ties for the microphone holder

I installed the faceplate and also the microphone using zip ties for the microphone holder
Thinking of running the main unit under the rear seat. Still pondering.
I ran the wires from the engine bay back to the rear cab, but haven't hooked them up yet. Left the fuse out of the fuse holder for...
There were two things I didn't like. The short exhaust and the lack of a full size spare. I wouldn't feel comfortable offroad with the smaller temp spare. The exhaust would get smacked and damaged the way it sits
So I removed the back end of the exhaust and installed Toyota part...
I was thinking of taking the trim off and driving a mounting screw through it and also routing the wire from the head unit through there. That is a more permanent install, but also the HAM has gone with the last few vehicles I have sold.
I went non-Hybrid. Test drove one and it was more then enough powerful for ME. You may feel differently. Other factors are I like the under seat storage. Right now it has a full set of tools, Offroad straps, D Rings, First aid kit, Fire Extinguisher and a few more small items. Not a great...
Dropped by Ham Radio Outlet (HRO) Today
This looks like a good place for the faceplate. Yes I know the picture is upside down
Working on the antenna bracket and then were to install main unit and speaker. Also, where to put the Mic holder
@brentbba how did you install your main unit under...

Seemed like the holes on the front OEM skid plate were not exactly lined up and it was a bitch getting back on. I had to push hard to move it a bit to get the last bolt...
I went and did my customization. Wasn't a lot there worth changing other than the seat belt, may still change the engine noise.
If you cancel, do you lose the OBD code reading and clearing ability? There are other apps that do that.
$399 doc fee and 34 other fees. I worked with them not to take state tax as I will pay it locally when I register the vehicle. Fredy Diaz was my salesman
Mine isn't on the site
Looking at HAM Radio options.
I really like the FTM-400 in my Land Cruiser, but they don't make them anymore and used prices are excessive unless you get it from Japan on ebay.
I liked what I saw on the new FTM-500 until I saw how HUGE the faceplate is. That would be a challenge to install...
The only place I had to remove the front sway bar or at least it was an issue was the Rubicon. I find as I get older I like challenging trails but not as hard core so I don't see the need for me. I did look to see if I could retrofit it later on and the youtube videos said you could. I always...
