Exactly, I’m not understanding why Toyota can’t at least have dealers drop the pan on the trucks in the vin range and eliminate trucks breaking down and angry frustrated customers driving around in crappy shifting transmissions, just replace the transmissions with the debris and be done with it .
Toyota has royally fucked up with these new tnga Platform trucks, between tacoma and tundra is becoming a disaster. It all comes down to lack of quality control

Toyota engines use direct and port fuel injection (d4s) they are extremely loud and change noises and it switches between modes or uses both. Some models from my understanding have a vacuum pump which is also naturally noisy. Modern motors have a lot going on but with Toyota…..at least you don’t...

Yes vins are effected but not released by Toyota, they will notify effected owners late November. I have access to Toyotas service info and my truck was built in March and it’s no part of the campaign . 3200 trucks from the span of January to April are effected
