Low fuel lights stress me out. Big time. I never used to get stressed about it until I started doing remote motorcycle trips where fuel is a big deal and you can literally die. I guess the thing to do is throw a jerry can in the back of the truck and just drive it until it quits. The Toyota...
I shopped a Frontier before getting a Tacoma. The Frontier came in a fair bit cheaper, until you start adding things to the Frontier -- and then you end up with Tacoma pricing. For instance, the standard Frontier bed is plain metal, not composite. The towing package is not a standard feature...
Was looking at wheels and saw these lugnuts on a wheel website. They look a little different, and there's no specs listed, which gives me some pause. But another possibility:

I love look of the Nomad Convoy Wheels ( Shop Now – Nomad Wheels ). They come in a +25 offset in 17" rims, but it's not clear whether that's going to be sufficient to mount a 255/80R17 on a stock TRD OR without any lift. I suspect it will, given how this works on the stock TRD OR rims. However...
Looks good. Very much appreciate *someone* finally coming out with a 6' bedliner. But it looks slippery as hell, which is the whole point in getting a bed mat. Is it just plastic on top of plastic?
Is there any justification for this from a safety perspective? Like if people are near the truck (as indicated by the door opening), it shuts off automatically to avoid any risk of movement or driving unattended? Can't imagine how, but I suspect there's some reasonable rationale for it.
This was the most bizarre process. I had very specific and very clear requirements. I tried to be clear in my communication: contact me only if you find a truck that meets this.
Either dealers are unable or unwilling to do this, and instead would prefer to waste their time spamming people with...
Looks like the trailhunter skid plate comes in a little cheaper than the TRD one. I know the TH has a steel plate, vs the aluminium on the TRD. The difference in price is relatively minor. Any particular reason you went with the TRD? It does look nicer though.
Has anyone tried the OEM rock rails ( PT738-35244 ) and compared them to the after market ones? Looks like you can get a pair of the OEM rock rails for about $800 shipped, which puts them quite a bit under aftermarket ones, but I'm not seeing anyone who has actually bought and installed them...
I had one on a Honda like this. Kung Fu Grip tight. First change from the factory. Wrench couldn't grip it. So I wiped the filter body with alcohol or acetone to degrease and clean, wrapped it in a strip of adhesive sand paper around as much of the circumference as I could, then slipped the...
