Pretty sure mine doesnāt lock, I know Iāve straightened my steering wheel on my Tacoma many times after the truck is shut off to install the steering club. Pretty sure many manufacturers have gone away with steering wheel (column) locks, donāt serve any purpose anymore (Well maybe for towing)...
While I totally agree with you, Iāve bought the adapter, used the USB C adapter that came with it, thereās tons of room to tuck it away in the front camera cover on the ā24 Tacoma. That said, if you wanted to buy a further āslimmerā adapter there are these on Amazon. Think you may be waiting...
Dongar makes a power adapter plugs into mirror and gives you a USB A or C outlet to plug into. Itās made for dash cams, but why not for radar detectors - assuming the power supply to them is USB. But question, itās a Tacoma not a Corvette, you really need a radar detector?
Sure, agree - š id Think if could run on its own if it was able to get a wifi signal. weāre on the same page for sure, thereās now way youād EVER get a product like that with iOS on it.
Itās a stand alone unit, it doesnāt interface with your iPhone. Itās a box (3rd party box)that has an andriod operating system on it. Apple would never allow their operating system onto a 3rd party box like android does. Apple only allows their operating system onto apple products.
having to move (lower) the factory bed rails to mount hard tonneau cover is a deal breaker for me. I have the OE bed divider that slides on the OE rails, if the rails were lowered I wouldnāt be able to use my bed divider. The OE soft tonneau cover has solved that problem for me, the drawback to...
Dnt think any difference between models I have an OR premium, I can say no sequential turn signals. Front bulbs are incandescent for signals - so sequential couldnāt happen with an incandescent bulb. Canāt say for sure on pro or trailhunter though, but can speak to the OR premium.
My OR Premium came with the card key. Think itās the premiums here in Canada that come with them, not sure how the US packages work.
More over I wonder if you can get the card style key as an accessory and get it programmed and set up by the dealer.
Iāve been following this thread. Itās great and does what this forum is supposed to do, help each other out.
but wow, canāt believe how poorly engineered these hard tops are. One would think when they are retailed theyād be a working product.
to that point, I bought the OE soft tonneau...
Mine was set up when I took delivery, Iād be going back to dealer to get help with it - I mean you did buy new vehicle, they should be doing all that with you.
that said, adjust your expectations with it. I have an iPhone, truck unlocks great with it - and works all the time. But getting the...
š¤¦š»āāļø I know turning off the AC stops the shake. I stated that in my first post. Guess I should also turn up the radio if I hear a differential howl?
Itās not the compressor clicking on - well maybe it is, but it shouldnāt shake the whole truck. Any other vehicle Iāve owned the only thing out of the AC compressor is a click noise of the clutch and the idle stepping up, but not a shake that can be felt inside the truck.
Yeah agree Iām not running to dealer with it yet, Iāll wait for other things, just expecting at this point others may be starting to bring their trucks in for service now.
itās odd out of all the YouTube bashing on the internet - nobody has picked this issue yet ?
I know this has been discussed in other posts so far and others have felt the same as I have felt. At this point I wanted to reach out to see if anyone has had their truck to a dealer to have the issue looked at and if so what was the "fix" or "reply" from the dealer as to what it is. Also...
I got a OR premium back in March (In Canada). No serious issues with it, you wonāt be disappointed. Iāve got 5K km on it and just did the first oil change on it. Never mind the haters, you do you. It is a machine at the end of the day, there are alternatives but theyāre also machines. Modern...
