Also a Software Developer. We haven't seen the code, but maybe. I can think of quite a few things I'd rather see software wise before that if I was planning upcoming sprints.
Is the wiring there? If not, I would get switches from CaliRaised. They have a ton of them that fit in those OEM spaces and look nice, but they also have things like light bar, ditch, lights, etc., printed on the buttons
So long as that coast to coast trip isn’t in deep mud, you should be good. Recall specifically mention certain off-road conditions. Like I said, I’ve been in some sketchy places and in some mud and never had an issue.
That's a great idea. Where did you get the Taco Marine seals? I'm also thinking about pulling up my carpet and putting dynomat underneath. At the very least along the Firewall to help keep down engine noise.
Just looked at mine. It's not horrible close, but I could see a bunch of mud. I'm at +44 and from what I can see it wouldn't matter if you were at 0. That line is dead center of my wheel. I'm not entirely sure how they're going to fix this. I feel like they're going to have to move the line...
Does your paperwork reference the software update? I'm thinking that maybe there are some part numbers, etc... that will help guide us when we ask for the update. Clearly dealers aren't doing their homework.
Got mine on the app last night. I'll get in touch with my dealer on Monday. For now, I'll make sure to keep them clean. I also don't have OEM wheels, so I'm not sure if that is good or bad. I'll have it on the lift in a few days for an oil change so I'll see if there's a way to reroute it...
Very nice. I wish they would've had that model available when I bought mine. I like my cap, don't get the wrong idea, but I really want a rack on top of mine now and will probably have to build a reinforcement
I have the Premium, and yes it will block your camera. If you want to keep it, you have to relocate it. https://www.ggoffroad.com/ has a kit that works well. I ended up making a mount that goes through the cap. It works great, but Its still a work in progress as far as looks go. The...
I did my Westcott lift myself, and no issues with safety sensors needing recalibrated. The service manager at my dealership was surprised it didn't need recalibrated when they did the alignment after, but he said it may because at this point I only have 33's and that larger tires may require...
I got worse mileage on ECO, but it is likely I was pushing it too hard. I have 10 Ply 33's and a lift and I can manage to get 19-20 on the highway in Normal on a long trip. Best I got was 22. Part off that is my fault. In town, 15-17 is common. I built this truck for a purpose, and economy...
It could be a bad tire. I run Duratrac RT's and don't have any issues after 12k miles. It's not a "Goodyear" thing, just a tire thing.I had vibrations from my roof rack, and I could hear them but not feel them in the steering wheel. I do not have an OEM Roof Rack and was able to correct most...
I doubt it's an excuse, more of a liability. If something happens and that employee gets in a wreck or even probably a ticket, it opens the dealership to litigation. That is, unfortunately, the world we live in. Dealers WANT to do warranty work. They get paid from Toyota for that work and is...
